Has any of Ian's old friends ever been interviewed or said anything online? He used to have IRL friends, not Internet friends, but real childhood friends who he hung out with, shot guns with, went fishing with etc. They appeared in some of his earlier videos IIRC and seem like normal dudes. I would be curious what they had to say, because I am sure he no longer hangs out with them and probably actively seethes about them like he does his father.

The only possible way Ian could recover even a crumb of optics from this would be to plead incompetence. A more charitable approach like "I'm an antisocial weirdo who exists in a very small bubble and because of this I wasn't aware of the full story" wouldn't work due to the holes you could poke in it. He would have to say "I'm an idiot and I didn't know because I'm an idiot" because it's the only explanation that makes sense that completely absolves him from blame.

My theory is that badempanada has something to do with those skulls, as evidenced by his weird rapey threat video.
