I've been kind of stunned, although it's no longer shocking, just how many liberals from the 90s/00s prioritized "Democrats are the good guys" over concerns about globalism, the environment, the working class, etc. Trump does all this stuff they said they wanted, and he switched parties out of sheer opportunism--nothing about the GOP was friendly to him, he just perceived they had a weak machine he could beat, while the Democrats had a strong candidate selection machine--but the simple fact he ran as a Republican made them all go "wtf I love slave-made shit by a regime that dumps raw industrial waste in the ocean!"
