He will just get prescription drugs and do Galaxy Gas all day. He won't get busted by his PO but the damage he will do to himself will make current Skelly look normal.
 
I expect Nick will survive lpnger than you'd think, either out of obstinance, choice of drug (whippet time anyone?) or sheer luck. But the nail in his coffin will be when the PO offhandedly mentions that he's going to start testing Nick less often, and that little voice in Nick's head whispers that he can get away with it. Like everything in his life, he already thinks he's too smart for 5 years of joyless misery. All he needs is that one little opening to fuck himself and his family over.

If I had to guess how he'll meet his end, I reckon he'll seize on the idea that whippets are entirely undetectable and continue using them, but the PO will pick up on the physical signs of abuse and ping him on that alone (or even funnier, get his house raided again and find cannisters in the trash).

Funnily enough, Minnesota is currently considering limiting the legitimate uses of nitrous oxide cannisters. If he goes down this path it could really fuck him.

I'm guessing Nick will get called in for a random; but he'll show up drunk. Whether he has Kayla or one of his older kids drive him is up in the air. I can't say how long, but I'm in agreement that the PO will do/say something about not doing it as often, and Nick will start screwing up.

I actually don't think he'll break his parole by drinking. rather, I predict that he'll find other ways to stay constantly fucked up through either prescriptions or technically legal substances, much to the chagrin of his PO, and end up doing jail time in spite of technically honoring the conditions of his parole. if he is technically a good boy but otherwise an utterly unrepentant, lowtaxian "chronically unable to take anything seriously" douchebag, i suspect the PO will not be willing to defer the jail stay on unrepentant, "mere" compliance.

I have to say, the funniest part is still the community service, to me. Because that asshole hates working.
I just wish it could be livestreamed. Maybe someone can find out where he'll be doing the community service... hopeful, I know.

In the past, I've had some dealings with specialist programs aimed at providing rehab to doctors and lawyers who've screwed up and had their addictions come to light. It's generally regarded as a truism among the people who work in such programs that addiction treatment for those people is MORE difficult and MORE intractable because of their belief that they're smarter than everybody else. They've generally built up a whole pile of rationalisations for their behaviour, and because of their income, they've often avoided the kind of rock bottom that most people are confronted with prior to rehab, so they see themselves as somehow 'different' to the typical addict.

And of course, we've already seen Nick deploying these rationalisations when he talked about his experience of rehab. Because this was a non-specialist rehab, the (reformed?) wine moms that run the place probably haven't had extensive experience with this type of addict, so they may well have been suckered by Rekieta's wine mom charm offensive. But I suspect that the judge in his case is all too well aware of the lore around these issues, hence his rebuke to Rekieta's bullshit about how 'smart' he thinks he is.

OK fine, a likely excuse, but WTF does MAPton have to do with it? So now Supertips being coded on a potato has put Nick's audio on the fritz even when no supertips are being sent yet, leaving him helpless as hours of shower calls to MAPton go unanswered while he's on an east coast vacay for 5 days, yet somehow every last muppet and talking fruit or vegetable across the Dabbleverse manages to fire up Supertips with none of these problems. And this is the guy that just spent months ranting and raving in chats about the Toe's streaming setup being so tech-illiterate... how embarrassing.

In an act of desperation, on a random drug test Nick substitutes his own pee with that of his eight year old daughter. Unfortunately, it still tests hot for cocaine metabolites.
