I mean to be fair the extension doesn't show you the real like to dislike ratio.
It just uses the data from extension users to then estimate the total like/dislike ratio, its basically just made up numbers.

This is only true when you select people randomly. If you were to randomly infect 500 PCs with this addon then we might have gotten somewhat accurate results, but the type of person who downloads this addon is not a good representative of an average person.

Yes, but the way the addon counts dislikes is basically by getting the like to dislike ratio of people with the addon and filling the gaps using that data.
Say you have 100 people with the addon, 50 like the video and it 50 dislike it, well we can see that the total likes is at 300k so then they assume that it must mean that it has 300k likes and 300k dislikes.
But it can very well be that in reality only 100k people disliked it because the data is extrapolated from the type of person who cares enough to install the addon and not an average person.
