The weakness was always there but she definitely exacerbated it. You can't tell me she didn't slowly convince him and manipulate him into thinking he was a terrible person and needed to change his ways. It starts with "You need to be a little more sensitive" and ends with him taking ssri's, crying about anxiety and wearing lipstick while sitting in the cuck chair. I like to think there's an alternate dimension where he grifted in the opposite direction and made collaborations with Sam Hyde.
He WAS genuinely funny on his own, even when he wasn't punching down on people or making fun of kickstarters. I forget that a lot of people only know idubbbz from his content cop videos.

I don't disagree that Anus exacerbated it, but Ian is a sponge. What you describe as him being funny outside of commentary was him just playing second fiddle to filthy frank, regardless of if frank was present or not. Ian wasn't original in the content he made but that wouldn't have been a problem if he managed to do it better than his contemporaries which given he's only remembered as the content cop guy who was cucked and buckbroken by Anisa he didn't succeed.
