Dave is a genius.

It's just a form of "humble brag"
He's really super duper smart, but the tests don't really mean anything as only cis white straight dudes do well on them.

To be fair, Dave has a point: IQ tests don’t measure all the other determinants of adult success, such as conscientiousness. Why, according to him, when identifying as a cis white straight male, he did really well on tests designed for cis white straight males, lives in a society dominated by cis white straight males, and yet he still spends the prime of life living in an oversized kitty litter box, facing felony charges, leaching off gibs and living on junk food.

Hmmm. Are we sure there wasn’t a minus sign in front of those test scores?

Dave had an actual white collar job for years, but now says his bad back and other problems make him too physically disabled to work. Nigga, if Stephen Hawkings could do white collar work you can too.

The thing is, it wasn't much of a job. It was a bullshit "communications" position for a group dedicated to being whiny assholes. He also didn't hold it for very long. So, overall, it isn't much of anything.

Wow! A genius, a competent guitarist, and a respected activist who is disabled, and a woman? This lady's the total package! 😍 Do we have a photo of her?

Need Tax Dollars For More Guitars.webp

Aw, man...She's only into other ladies...😭

Didn't someone post something about the ex-president of American Atheists, David Silverman, making fun of Miss Muscato for being an embarrassing tranny? I know he's at least trans skeptical at this point.

Why would a 6th grader take the ACT? I took the SAT in 6th grade to qualify for a program (and if Dave had qualified for it, which he absolutely would have with a 1440, he would have bragged about it at some point) but I don't know of any that use the ACT

Do you know what guys?

I'm starting to think that Dave might be a liar. ☹️

If someone has to tell people he has a high IQ, he doesn't have a high IQ.
I said this in the Fatrick thread too, but intelligence is by definition the ability to make better decisions. Smart people know that boasting about your IQ makes you look like a narcissistic jackass, and is by definition a dumb thing to do, so smart people dont do it. Therefore, logically, if you say you're smart, you aren't.

@hdr22@clintonemail•com, you seem to be new around here, so take this in the spirit of well-intentioned advice from one autist to another:

This:
As someone who was showered with genuinely prestigious accolades as a child and well into my college years

...is the same thing as this:
when someone feels the need to let people know he's in MENSA, or allegedly tested in the top percentile.

Likewise, this:
anyone with enough knowledge of the topic will be able to discern that my IQ is in the upper 130s

...is the same thing as this:
To say it out loud -- to insist on its recognition

...and all this:
I know I never have to worry about not being perceived as exceptionally intelligent. It's not something I have to insist on. I am actually genuinely frustrated by the way my intellect overshadows my other qualities

...is the same thing as this:
a humblebrag

There was the Duke TIP program, which was one of those programs for identifying gifted students for potential scholarships by letting middle school students take the SAT or ACT. I remember our school was an SAT one, but he could have gone somewhere where they took the ACT instead. I think there were a few other similar talent search programs like that, so Dave might have participated in one of those. It wouldn't be too surprising if his accomplished parents steered him in that direction.

He's absolutely bullshitting about getting a 1440, though. Scores over 1200 were enough to get you invited to a grand recognition ceremony at Duke – a 1440 (which is like 98th percentile even for high school students) would have placed him at the very tippy-top, like borderline real-life Doogie Howser territory. Colleges would have been falling over themselves to offer him free rides.

Dave thinks claiming to be a genius makes up for having wasted his life trying to ruin others', despite his "genius" status meaning he has less excuse for how much he's squandered. It makes me wonder what kind of lies he tells his cat; being as he's incapable of ever telling the truth. Aside from the lip service strangers feel obliged to pay when he claims to be a woman, the most Dave's many falsehoods seem to have amounted to is a disability scam and a pile of guitars he can't play - and he's been complacent enough to both lose his health insurance and be forced to forfeit a number of those weird status symbol guitars by reselling them at a loss. I feel bad for the buyers; and imagine those instruments feel gross and reek of cat piss.

This judge bears a resemblance to the defendant and is named after a mushroom that also resembles the defendant. Some mischief is afoot in Missouri.

You're not allowed to use Page's female name, but you can say she was your first "lesbian" crush. If this is the kind of reasoning an IQ of 145 gets you, I'd rather be retarded.
I read it as Dave posting bait--that was the response he wanted, specifically so he could get self-righteous.
