now they're doing gay little AI videos and shitty cartoons about how it won't be $125/hr lazy factory work but instead minimum wage sewing socks and shirts.

They keep saying "THERE ARE MANUFACTURING JOBS RIGHT NOW!" and "WHO'S GOING OT DO IT? YOU? YOU? ARE YOU GOING TO DO IT????"

They can't comprehend: "Yes."

"THERE ARE MORE MANUFACTURING NOW THAN IN THE 80'S JUST AUTOMATED LOLOLOLOLOLOL!"

They really really don't get it.

But people are able to see exactly what these people think of people who just want an honest fucking job they can depend on working for instead of this bullshit now.

They literally can't comprehend a willingness to trade a day's labor for a day's pay.

I work a production job and it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I'm making nearly three times minimum wage and I have a desirable working schedule. Manufacturing will never be entirely automated and will always need people to oversee the work the machines do. It's not the most luxurious work but it's certainly more solid than the retail and warehousing hellscapes people are landing in.

Citing “drastic” government funding cuts, U.S. Catholic bishops Monday said they’re ending a century-old program of resettling refugees fleeing war or persecution.
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Migration and Refugee Services, the largest refugee resettlement agency in the world, will also end its support of undocumented children who come into the United States.

The bishops’ program was one of 10 national resettlement groups — most of which are faith-based — whose contracts were suspended in January by the Trump administration. The government has been partnering with such groups to resettle vetted migrants for a half-century.
“This is a painful end to a life-sustaining partnership the Catholic Church in the U.S. has had with our government and that has spanned decades across administrations of both political parties. It offers every Catholic an opportunity to search our hearts for ways to help in the absence of government support,” Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio, the president of the conference, said in a Washington Post op-ed Monday.

“The drastic reduction of these programs forced us to reconsider the best way to serve the needs of our brothers and sisters seeking safe harbor from violence and persecution,” he said

The USCCB, which represents the leadership of the Catholic Church in the United States, resettles tens of thousands of refugees a year on behalf of the government. “These are displaced souls who see in America a place of dreams and hope. Some assisted American efforts abroad at their own risk and more seek a place to worship and pray safely as they know God calls them,” the group said in a statement.

Ready to gtfo back to the burbs, put out my smoke, hear “Excooze meh saar” from behind. Wasn’t the expected Jeet student, it was a doppleganger of that black dude from Gladiator in full police uniform attempting to give me a ticket while speaking pigeon English.
what was the ticket for then?

It's way fucking worse, because the stock market isn't even GDP, and that is already a shit measurement of "how people are doing."

Both of them think that divorce rate plummeting to zero, every family suddenly having a stay-at-home parent, all mortgages being paid off and savings rate increasing to 10%, would be an absolute disaster, because the market would go down, and GDP would go down, housing supply would skyrocket, it'd be a financial shit-show.

But it would be fucking absolutely amazing for the country.

So fuck 'em. The measure is not the rule.
The "stock market" in itself is people just buying and selling ownership of companies, so what's good for the country absolutely will be good for the stock market in the long run. A country with solid manufacturing and a huge domestic market and a reasonably high-IQ population with a cultural work ethic does not even need to spend five seconds worrying about the stock market. But the problem of course is that there's so much leverage in the market and so many massive institutional investors because playing stonks was the only way to protect the value of your money for such a long time due to inflationary monetary policy. It became the economic metagame, and people overoptimized for it, and now the game is getting patched, and they're whining because they preferred CS 1.6 over Source, so to speak.

No, no, this won’t do.
Say something bellicose, Trump, like remind everyone how China poisoned hundreds of thousands of American babies and say they have to pay reparations before we’ll do a deal

During covid19 TPTB Identified him as one the 6 key spreaders of missinformation. His takes likely saved millions of lives by convincing them to forgo the vaccine man dates.
Ah, that makes sense, he was catapulted into the zeitgeist by being labeled as an enemy of the narrative. He's definitely doing something right considering how much staying power he has among the Boomer right.

I work Manufacturing too. I don't think automation will ever take over. The automation machines we do have brake every other day. Then it's a pain in the ass to get anyone to fix it, think the ice cream machines at Mc Donald's.

The leader of the east coast faction would be Don Trump Jr with an eye patch. The Aisa and west coast faction would run by Barron Trump with his lower half replaced with robot spider legs. Europe would be controlled by a well dressed Eric Trump with a beard and mustache.
Eric Trump needs a monocle in this scenario.

I've said it several times here but it bears repeating. Trump made a mistake in his first term with the tariffs. Not in doing them, but in the fact that he didn't also interject "climate change" nonsense into it as a reason. He should be doing it now, saying that the tariff calculations are based on the lack of regulatory environmental protection in places like China, which functions as a tariff or market barrier in and of itself, or a form of dumping. It would be great to see the immediate about face of the left suddenly defend ruining the environment, which they would surely do. That would be a harder position to take for Europe, and I think it would break a few people's brains.

We’ve been steadily automating manufacturing for centuries.

The place to make headway is to keep one out of every ten general government workers and have them do QC checks on their Ai replacements

I think one of the best counters to this is the existence of UAW, none of those fuckers are working minimum wage.

Yeah, even if a mob of leftists, including known CCP agents in full ballistic armor, tried to knock down the fences around the White House, injuring over 180 secret service personnel, destroying a guard house, and setting fire to St. John's Church, the news would probably call Trump "Bunker Boy" for being whisked away to the safe room in the basement and then people might forget it ever happened in about a week.
also, couldn't trump declare martial law in that case?

Has anyone else been getting tariff shit spammed in any of their social media feeds? I keep getting a ton of tariff videos made by buckbroken libshits in my YouTube recommendations, and the creators are either literally who's or people I recognize and are the last people who should be sharing their political opinions. It's fucking annoying.

So many people would be down for that if it didn’t come out of their wages or tax. And you allowed them to pay towards it if they wanted it to go down quicker.
I think it’s fair but I know the worst SJWs would rather die than work a single day of honest labor.

This is only tangentially related to what your saying, but I could not help but notice the "I usually wait for Catturd to weigh in, so I know all the facts."
What the fuck is the deal with that? I really don't get why the Boomer right likes that guy so much, he doesn't really seem to have particularly original takes and seems like a pretty run of the mill MAGA Twitter account. I just find it really odd that the boomers really glommed onto that guy, he really doesn't seem like anything special.
Moving past Catturd, the general sentiment of that particular comment also bothers me. Outsourcing your thinking to somebody else really shouldn't be something people should be doing regularly, let alone being outright proud of it and announcing to the world that is what you are doing. This sort of shit is getting worse too, as of late I've seen an increase in people outsourcing their thinking to LLMs, like they can't actually think up a response without hearing grok's take on it. To be fair, the majority of "grok outsourcers" are actually pajeet engagement harvesters who are just slamming down a low quality reply to suck up some of the ad revenue, but the point still stands - why the hell are people letting influencers and LLMs do their goddamn thinking for them?
CatTurd is like a late-night host for MAGA boomers. Broad jokes about the current "thing" that pretend to be edgy. Imagine a Jay Leno joke about OJ Simpson written in a Garfield comic strip; that is CatTurd. Not as brash as that David Letterman Jack Posobiec (yes, the joke is that both are tepid).

The poster saying they will wait for CatTurd's opinion is either a real human NPC or a bot (impossible to tell the difference). They are signaling that they are trusting of "authority" and consensus. If Cat Turd says "wait 2 more weeks", then that's what he will do. Trust the plan. Trust Cat Turd.

I didn't even have time to actually look and buy the dip, this is all fuckin' bullshit.

Sorry I'm about a day behind in this thread, but after the "mostly peaceful" protests during the summer of love, they never actually had any "moral high ground" to begin with.

Even if they were to storm the white house (and do so in a way that was actually violent unlike J6) There would be a mountain of leftists crawling out of the woodwork to unironically explain why "it's ok when we do it," and a complicit media there to agree with them.
"It's the language of the unheard, Drumpf! Now stop doing what you were democratically elected to do -- like a fascist -- and start obeying the violent mob supported by corporate interests and unelected pencil pushers, or else!"

Yeah, even if a mob of leftists, including known CCP agents in full ballistic armor, tried to knock down the fences around the White House, injuring over 180 secret service personnel, destroying a guard house, and setting fire to St. John's Church, the news would probably call Trump "Bunker Boy" for being whisked away to the safe room in the basement and then people might forget it ever happened in about a week.
... Am I missing a reference here? Cause that sounds familiar. Did that happen during the summer of love? Cause if so they sure as shit memory holed that stuff real fucking quick.

Imagine if your company was able to have a department of on the floor techs; a merging of two worlds. But alas, corporate bureaucracy/law has been practiced to a scalpel sharp art. It's a shame, been thinking about moving to an area where the FAME USA apprenticeships are. I'm speculating that wherever those programs are, they will be the seed crystal as factories may be built.
