Considering the size difference and the history of pan-Asian endeavors there is a good chance that will end with China trying to boss everyone around.

That’s why I see Japan and the US being buddies. The one thing Japan wanted during wwii was natural resources and the us has that. They can get everything they want in trade with the US without having to conquer anything. In return the us gets anime and waifus.

My father actually worked in a pretty good position in a honda plant coordinating and talking with other honda plants in and out of the country, id hear at the dinner table how much he really fucking hated them lol.
