A lot of them literally cannot conceive of a sign saying "250 miles till next gas" being true. Or that an hour commute at 70 MPH isn't that unheard of.
Tell me about it.

I had a friend in the UK and asked her if she went by a place. She said it was alittle far....It was 40 miles by car.

Maybe nintendo shouldn't have waited so long on the switch 2 if they didn't want tarrifs :^)

Could they have done a thing where they sold millions of them to NoA pre-tarrif, and then had NoA sell them post-tarrif without having to pay tarrifs?
1. That’s not how NoA works. 2. The consoles are manufactured JIT. Retailers order the systems ahead of time and they get them as soon as Nintendo makes them. There’s no warehouse somewhere with a million consoles just sitting around.

What would happen if the American subsidary of a company had purchased in advanced two years of unmade stock before the tarrifs kicked in?
Duty is payable at the time that the customer takes control of the product. For example, if you pre-order an item and the state you’re in increases sales tax between the time of the pre-order and delivery, you owe the difference of that sales tax increase.

Again assuming these retards have actually read Fahrenheit 451. They haven’t made a modern remake of it with brown people and trannys yet have they? If not then there goes the only way these people could possibly consume the story lol.
I got bad news brother (sorry double post)

Like genuinely, imagine creating a setting where a hyper xenophobic racist caricature of 1910s America is completely isolated in a floating sky fortress and run by a cartoonishly racist wackjob who is also worshiped by the people there as a messiah, then having a bunch of blacks, jews, chinese and irish all magically show up there just so they can be perpetual victims of whitey over and over in the story and background until they break into a giant pseudo-communist "revolution" race riot.

The ONLY explanation they give for why black men are there is "er um well uh they needed cheap labor so they imported black convicts from Georgia", which doesn't explain how the black women and other races got there but is also completely fucking nonsensical because Columbia has mass-produced robots and superpower juice.

Why would you, as ultra-racist white-nationalist isolationist religious zealots that follow klansman Jesus, import black people to scrub toilets and break rocks like a chain-gang when you have literal robots walking around (and infinite-energy quantum generators powering your entire city), along with superhuman juice in bottles laying around?

It's made perfectly clear that the average Columbian hates being around the Inferior Races TM in any capacity, to the point that hate-crimes are a annual carnival game and there's KKK temples out in the open, so why the hell are they still there?

I can't believe people actually praised this shit when it came out, it's fucking awful. Lavine is a hack.
It was a play on the southern landowners of that era who hated blacks but kept buying black slaves and breeding them.

You expect retard faggots who use Transformer logos and little anime girls on political protest signs to actually know what’s Orwellian or not? Those faggots still don’t know what a actual fascist is lol.
Maybe the real fascists were inside us all along

This right here is something that always annoyed me when talking to Europeans, especially ones who complain about Americans not knowing the layout of countries in Europe. America is a fucking huge ass place, to the point where you can be in Florida, know other people in Florida, and never have met them because it is a fucking 6 hour drive. You can literally drive all the way across Germany in 6 hours.

"yeah I'm gonna vacay in america, I'm landing in texas. I want to see new york first and then hang out in california. Do you think I can fit that in a weekend?"

I like to tell Europeans that if you start driving on one coast, east or west, and start driving for 8 hours each day, it will take you at least 7 days to reach the opposite side of the country. They usually shut up for a little while because they still can't imagine it.

Driving from New York to LA covers the same distance as Moscow to Madrid, Texas alone is larger than Metropolitan France.

It's a shame driving is made so expensive in Europe, a transcontinental road trip sounds like a lot of fun.

Yeah. Real shame about all of the europeans you'd have to meet though...

I know someone IRL who went to one of the protests today.

Had to do a double take with this picture because I thought it was him. It's not, but hoo boy that was a close one. :story:

Based on the pictures I've seen, there's no cohesive message with this protest whatsoever. It's just another fucking temper tantrum over the fact that the person they didn't vote for won. That's literally all this is.

I mean, it can't be over the tariffs, right? Because you'd be pretty fucking stupid to be screeching about that after cheering for the economy to shut down during Covid a mere 5 years ago. lol.

Once you remove the money, that's all these protests are. There's literally no incentive for them to actually protest other than "Orange Man Bad". Trump's dismantling a lot of these alleged "grassroots" protests, and now they seem much more organic, and a lot funnier (in a pathetic, whiny tantrum throwing way). You can also start to see who the children are in the room versus who the actual adults are.

going on a cross-country road trip is a humbling experience and every American should do it at least once. This country is fucking enormous.
