You cannot discuss Vtubers without discussing the Quran. The Quran, as well as Islam as a whole, has had a huge influence on the creation and overall culture of Vtubers. Discuss the relationship between The Quran, Islam and Vtubers in this thread.
 
Vtubers are the embodiment of the concept of ظاهر (Zahir, appearance) versus باطن (Batin, inner self).

How many times have we seen women commission the cutest avatars possible to hide their heart of darkness? How many great indies have we seen reveal a heart of gold underneath their rugged and amateurishly designed model?

Two verses that Allah revealed to man tie to this:

Surah Al-An'am (6:120)

"Shun all sin—open and secret. Indeed, those who commit sin will be punished for what they earn."

Here we can see that there are penalties to hidden evils, which is a lesson that all those who follow the most innerwardly evil Vtubers will learn all too well.

Surah Ar-Rum (30:7)

"They only know the worldly affairs of this life, but are totally oblivious to the Hereafter."

This may have been originally directed towards the unbelieving Romans, but it can be tied to those fully captured by lust, unable to see the sirens threatening to drag them to Jahannam.

Whereas Allah's Prophet ﷺ may had nothing to say about Vtubers due to the societal gap between his age and ours, we can say for certain that he would have warned us to not be consumed by sexual sin towards women that we shalt never meet and to instead devote ourselves to only one, halal oshi.

Yes you're correct I am ignorant to this. In my brain I can not connect your standard Asian or SEA with islam. I just see an Asian and instantly think they're Buddhist or something unless their a sk then Christian. Like the fact the pedo religion got so far into Asia just doesn't register in my brain. I even knew a chick from Singapore and worked at a BK that was halal but yet still it doesn't register in my memory.

But also you look at Ollie and tell me that a muslim chick can be that thirsty.
 
Insallah, women need to wear veils, but drawings do not. The Quran only forbids depicting humans, so catgirls are halal.

"Vtubers wouldn't exist without the Quran" is not something I ever expected anyone to believe, but I'm glad you do. This is such a baffling and insane theory, yet it makes perfect sense while making none at all. On the one hand, it seems like something an older, more conservative/traditional Muslim to find "haram," but on the other, I would expect some liberal, American Muslim (most likely of the feminist/queer variety) to post this on TikTok.

What a fascinating topic of discussion that I hope will either broaden my knowledge of Islam, or be hilariously retarded.

I just really want to say its a breath of fresh air to see differentiating views on kiwifarms when normally I see the same group/type of people. I’m never seeing actual leftists or different religions that isn’t christian or some spiritual weirdo going off about buddhism. It’s healthy for the forum to have this thread and more like it, obviously without trying to protect it unlike *other medias* do. This is THE free speech forum so if the majority of users think you’re a retard you will get called a retard, but you’re a retard with a voice. I really like that, even if I disagree with you.

Indonesia shows that not even Allah is proof against anime. If there wasn't a market, there would not be no vtubers there.

tbf, Bali is the only island in Indonesia that's majority non-Muslim (I think they're Buddhist majority) but even then that's like a 4 million people in a population of over 280 million. So 99% of Indonesians will basically be Muslim anyways.

It's basically just a cultural thing, people will still drink and watch porn while they go 'allahu ackbar' whenever they flex their country's culture. Officially, Indonesia is supposed to be secular since the country was founded by Sukarno who's basically an Ataturk LARPer. It helps that Indonesia got Islam via cynical reasons (aka to boost trade relations with Middle East) rather than by the sword.
