I suppose it's a matter of second hand embarrassment of how far Internet marketing and recourse has regressed over time. I don't know if it's them being "out of touch," or is "being IN touch" shit like this.

I truly don't think a return of Verdnask for Warzone will "save" Black Ops 6. The foundation itself of Black Ops 6, and Warzone by extension because it's using the same framework, is the problem. Adding more stuff on top of flawed design does not help. Actually, I think Warzone would've benefitted by staying on MWIII's framework. Of course, you'd still have to deal with the obnoxious skins and rampant cheating. I don't know.

Incorrect, most popular skins have nothing to do with military or the general mil-sim aesthetic. It's always colorful rainbow shit, anime aesthetics or crossover skins like the game is a poor man's Fortnite. You're right about the franchise slowly becoming more homosexual with MW2, and I mean that literally. For some odd reason, Asians became obsessed with R34 of Ghost, Soap, Price and even MacMillan(50+ year old dude in a ghillie suit) having gay sex with each other, and that's nearly 20 years before the franchise actually became popular with SFM gooners. Ever since MW2 COD Yaoi has been a thing, and it's been a disaster for the franchise since.

The phrase "ignorance is bliss" helps me in that case. I knew the CoD community can be toxic, but not like that. All I want to do is to shoot at people, so I guess I'm doing something wrong.

It's a mix of both, but primarily it's gaming trends and a community that's known for it's cycle of "current cod bad, last year cod good"
I think the only case in which the cycle was temporarily broken was MW2022.

I guess I didn't take that into consideration but that's still the kind of cynical trend-chasing I expect from CoD multiplayer. Still it doesn't disprove the point that CoD players just want mindless shooty shooty and barely give a shit about the campaign.
I'm a campaign fag and because of this I tend to judge them differently than most people would. I also wouldn't buy a CoD game at full price because of this. MW 2019 and Cold War both had pretty good campaigns and their sequels both ended up dumping a giant bucket of stupid onto the plot.

Speaking for myself, I don't mind CoD's campaigns. My favorites off the top of my head would be MW2, Black Ops, and MW3. Take this what you will, but I'm finding myself playing single player games more than trying to play multiplayer.
 
I feel like the entire "muh tits" and "it's all gay" arguments are pretty retarded when you have the squid game animatronic cranking 90s while master splinter is hitting the griddy after sharing le epic weedors with snoop dogg in the background as nicki minaj is running around in all honesty. Dumbass fortnite shit takes away from genuine immersion more than tits or that the guy I just killed may or may not be a homosexual.
But maybe that's just me.

Well, I can deal with the immersion breaking crossover skins that either don't fit the period or are too child friendly, the horrible MTX and unfun events, as long as there isn't any FAGGOTS in my video game.
With their soft, girly hands, and their dick sucking lips and....

When I beat the first one.

I noticed with CoD4, all the maps are either gray or orange. Creek, a map from the Variety Map Pack, is the only map that has saturation from its green on gray. It's actually disorienting because of the game's color filter.

Multiplayer hasn't been immersive since AW in 2014 when they added in clown suits. Misty, on the other hand, is part of Zombies mode where story and immersion is important. You are comparing two completely different things, might as well say that it wouldn't matter if they trooned out Price in the next Modern Warfare game because the game has Snoop Dogg in it.

I hated Advanced Warfare's multiplayer. Hopping to and fro with jetpacks with CoD's twitch gameplay was miserable as hell.

I'd be mad too if they ruined Rose's character design for another game.
 
Thinking about this mission again and how great it is. Watching your boys get picked off, watching your own plane and crew get shot up, eventually getting shot down and going on to fight in the resistance on the ground

It's such a great mission. I miss the old days
