Posts like these always make me wonder if actual fucking space aliens wrote them, because clocking isn't even a specific, chosen action - it is simply an animal instinct. I've clocked numerous troons in public without ever even coming very close to them simply because I see them and my brain automatically registers them as male or female. I only continue analyzing if the person seems so androgynous as to be confusing, but even those seconds of study are usually short and fleeting as I quickly arrive to my answer.

And that's the rub for them: true passing would be not drawing that moment of analysis in the first place. This is why troons pass better in places with low lighting, a lot of other stimuli (such as loud music or bright lights flashing intermittently), other possible affects to cognition (such as access to drugs or alcohol); you need to actively have your senses dulled or overtaken by other stimuli to avoid clocking them. Put them in the naked light of the mid-morning sun in a field, however, and not a single troon on Earth would ever pass.

I don't know anyone who is 100%, perfectly happy with every aspect of their image.
