My understanding of Turkey is that its demographics are pretty well fucked, in that the educated, westernized part of the population that made it a real country have the same sort of birthrate as the rest of Europe, meaning well below replacement. Meanwhile the Islamist part of the population does what they do and they're growing 8x every two decades. So Erdogan leans on them to keep subverting their constitution and remaining dictator for life, but they fight like Musselmen, not a first world military.

They ultimately do much more business with the United States, but I expect Europe to start pulling out of those deals and agreements over the next four years. Europe loves warmongers like Obama and Biden; not because of anything they actually do, but because they pay lip service to ideas Europe loves. It also serves to ensure that the allies (Russia excluded) had influence over Europe's development and keeps Europe from doing Europe things like starting land wars with each other over retarded things but as it turns out that Europeans needed that to survive because unlike Americans who can satisfy their blood lust with foreign wars or third world shithole with infighting against warlords ( or China with a war on its past self) They need to have a threat living next to them that at any moment of weakness will invade (see Russia and the baltics for how this example works in practice) This also became redundant with things like European Union and to a lesser extent the UN.
