I first came here because I love Sci-fi and wondered if I had ever read anything by Pat ( thankfully I hadn't). It didn't take me long to see what manner of man he was.
There has been some great work and diligent research along the way, but Pat's inability to learn from his mistakes have fueled this thread to a major extent.
In Shakespeare's "The Tempest", the monster called Caliban becomes disgusted when seeing his own reflection in a mirror for the first time - Pat has his own monstrous nature reflected right back at him, day after day, but tells himself he gazes upon the face of a handsome Narcicuss.
Rarely have I come across a person so incapable of self-reflection, he will never learn.
