We seriously believe 51st state is an option that's better than what we have.Is Canadian TDS so severe that they unironically believe Trump plans to annex them? I mean, the “51st State” stuff is pretty clearly just banter with the message of “You Canucks depend on us Americans for a lot, so you should play nice”, no?
Two dead, two taken into custody after South Glengarry shooting incident
Published Feb 03, 2025 • Last updated 2 days ago
Two people were found dead and two others were taken into custody temporarily after a shooting incident at a home in South Glengarry township on Sunday night.
At about 9 p.m., officers from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP detachment responded to what police said in a statement began as a home invasion at a residence on Old Highway 2.
Two men were found dead in the home with gunshot wounds and a firearm was seized at the scene, police said. A third person had fled the scene before officers arrived, the news release stated, adding that an extensive search of the area was conducted. “It is believed the individual may have left the area,” police said in the release.
The residents of the home, who were taken into custody before being released unconditionally, were not injured, police said.
“There is no threat to public safety as the incident is believed to be targeted,” the release stated.
Bill Dickson, OPP media relations co-ordinator, said Tuesday the OPP continue to search for the third person.
South Glengarry is located about 120 kilometres southeast of Ottawa.
Anyone with any information that could help in the investigation or help locate the third person was urged to contact the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or ontariocrimestoppers.ca .
It is. It is also part of general anti-American sentiment that permeates everything. Canadian's by and large only ever watch American television and news. So with the US they know a lot of what is on CNN is bullshit, because they live there. Canadians eat it up uncritically. On top of that with the average Canadian Liberal being a bughive dweller or old as fuck. They tend to act like the worst stereotype of a Democrat. Is Canadian TDS so severe that they unironically believe Trump plans to annex them? I mean, the “51st State” stuff is pretty clearly just banter with the message of “You Canucks depend on us Americans for a lot, so you should play nice”, no?

Province adds anti-semitism education to grades 7–9 social studies
Students will explore the realities of antisemitism in the newly drafted Grades 7–9 social studies curriculum, according to the province.
The provincial government explained that since October 7, 2023, when the Jewish community in Israel faced its largest targeted and deadly attacks since the Holocaust, antisemitism has been on the rise around the world.
"There is no place for hate, discrimination and racism in Alberta and the classroom is no exception. To make sure all students, including those from the Jewish community, feel safe, welcomed and cared for in the classroom, Alberta’s government will ensure that the new draft grades 7 to 9 social studies curriculum will teach students about the prejudice that groups face."
During the 2023–24 school year, the Alberta government worked closely with Jewish organizations and education partners to inform the social studies curriculum. More involvement will start later this winter to make sure that the new curriculum's inclusion of this material will empower students to speak out against the rise in antisemitism.
"I firmly believe we must do everything possible to combat rising antisemitism and educate young Albertans about the realities of antisemitism. Ensuring all students learn about the injustices faced by those who historically were, and continue to be, marginalized, or who have experienced discrimination will help us confront hate and build stronger communities,” explained Demetrios Nicolaides, Minister of Education.
According to the province, The inclusion of antisemitism in the new draft grades 7 to 9 social studies curriculum builds upon the Alberta government’s commitment to have students learn about injustices faced by those who historically were, and continue to be, marginalized or who have experienced discrimination.
"In November 2023, Alberta’s government made Holocaust education a mandatory component of the social studies curriculum and the newly developed draft K to 6 social studies curriculum also includes content on antisemitism."
As the draft social studies curriculum is being developed, Alberta Education will keep in touch with the Jewish Federation of Edmonton, the Calgary Jewish Federation, and other Jewish organizations.
Rocky View Schools provided a statement to DiscoverAirdrie on the recent announcement.
"RVS carefully reviews all changes that impact student learning. We encourage our families and staff to participate in Alberta Education’s engagement on draft curriculum."
The new draft K–6 social studies curriculum was released in April 2024 for optional classroom piloting, which started in September 2024 before its implementation in the 2025–26 school year.
Boomers want their Jeet slaves and their Mulatto grandchildrenCanadians would rather become the toilet of India, rather than work with Trump. Canada suffers from terminal Trump Derangement Syndrome.
I have no faith in this country whatsoever.
