That's a big thing. Not even the Feds like taking credit for Ruby Ridge and WACO, because it made everyone involved evil and the people they were attacking martyrs. It also made 2nd amendment advocatcy skyrocket, which was the opposite point.

Statists go in cycles. The government does well so people look up to it. It declines so people begin to hate. You might have heard this term in a different manner: The Mandate of Heaven. At the risk of a proper politisperging, Pure Statists are like Pure Anarchists in that while they exist in theory they, almost never, actually exist in practice. if you ask an anarchist if they believe that absolutely no societal structure should exist and really dig deep you will find they do believe in at least local grouping and agreed communal policy making. A loose form of government but still a form of government. On the other end of this line is a Pure Statist who believes that everything the government does is right because anyone under that government has implicitly agreed to its dictates.

Dev is the very, very rare example where a Pure Statist appears to have existed. So, to Radola, it isn't just the U.S. it is -every government in the world-. Anything they do is moral within the country that did it. Everything. So long as its the government doing it.

This is, I believe, why the Trucker video isn't coming out. because Dev isn't actually an idiot, he's a midwit. Which means he likely has just enough intelligence to realize his defense of the government against the Truckers will come off -bad- to his audience and likely will be the biggest shattering of them. Because the Statist take there would alienate both Left and Right.

This brings to mind the old saying "the problem with having an open mind is people want to fill it."

Let's take Dev at his word. He's done lots of reading. Let's say he knows more now than before. That still means he's changed. He's abandoned his centrist, libertarian position.

Let's take Dev at his word that he hasn't changed. That his reading has shone a light on how wrong libertarian and populist positions are. What's wrong with these positions? What is the correct position? We don't get an answer. All we get is unfunny "memes", backbiting about his old colleagues, and insane statist boot licking.
