I think my favorite oddity in nature this way is the fact that crows and owls will kill each other on sight. The odd part being they don't compete for the same food or the same roosting and one is nocturnal, the other diurnal. There's literally no reason for either species to be this way, yet they both are. It is apparently baked into their DNAs.

Capybaras are just overgrown guinea pigs. Dogs tolerate them because they like to eat their poo. That's it. They're prey animals but that dog sees it as a different kind of food source.
I just love the "harass random blacks on X" angle the Pests take for the reactions it gets. Their narcissism can't recover the mockery from a lowly white so they always try and find some angle where it is Pat's fault, actually. And within a short exchange, Pat usually gives them a reason to hate him.
