edit: this comment might have been shortsighted as I have no ways to assess someones true mathematical ability. All I've seen is a man who claims to partake in math classes and do math homework.
I'm going to thank you for making this post anyway. This is going to sound completely fucking insane and I can't provide any explanation for this without powerleveling, but it motivated me to take an important first step in my life that I've been hesitant to start for months.
That said, I'm not that interested in digging through the discord groomer hive anymore, but I'll explain why I think Dan's flexing math cred he doesn't have while I'm waiting for something.
In the description of the featured video, Timmy tries to use a common communication tactic among autists: using math terminology to express feelings he's too emotionally stunted to express normally. He's trying to apply these words accurately in the hope that it will convey his message perfectly without him having to think about how he feels, so no figurative language here, Timmy's strictly invoking their mathematical definitions.
"description"To all my fans waiting patiently for my Turkey Tom Debunk video and others: I can no longer make ANY promises as to the dates. Of course, the ONLY times I am free to record, my Devouring Mother and my so-called step-"father" emerge from their perpetually periodic quarreling, only to sequentially converge in the act of Uniformly Bounding my ambitions. THIS is what I have to put up with every day.
Timmy's just trying to say "the one time my parents come together, it's to stop me from pursuing my goals in life." The math words he's using do not imply that.
Sequentially converge- this isn't even a thing, what is a thing is
sequences, and some of them do a thing called
converging. Funnily enough the lone word converging would have worked because its plain English definition is "coming together on a common point", but its definition in the Math context wouldn't work because it describes one thing moving closer and closer to a certain point but
never actually meeting it. If Timmy just chose to speak plain English, he could have just said the exact same fucking word and the sentence would have made sense.
Uniformly Bounding- Dan's intended meaning is the exact reverse of the phrase's actual meaning. Universal Bounding is when
one thing (usually a number) serves as a stopping point for how high or low a
group of related things (usually functions) can reach. Timmy's using it to describe a group of related
by marriage things (his parents) serving as a stopping point for how low one thing (Timmy's life) can reach by trying to get him offline for a bit.
This is a very puzzle piece and moon sticker worthy post, but Timmy likes to dismiss his characterization as a pseudointellectual because nobody with common sense would engage with his bullshit in the first place, and he accepts that as winning by default. I just want to do my autistic part in demonstrating that yes, if you're deranged enough to waste your time engaging with Timmy on his "perfectly logical" level, you'll find his logic is far from perfect.
Anyway, I'm gonna try to make this my last schizopost for the day. I don't want to squander the positive impact you unknowingly/unintentionally left on me.
Anyway, good luck boys. I'll check in on the chuckles/horrors y'all dig up tonight.
