Acknowledging what they're doing wrong: No White male protagonists (basically male protagonists in general), replacing tropes (An extremely useful narrative device) with your extremely subpar writing, hamfisting da message constantly, making horrific character designs etc etc would be acknowledging that your worldview is obtuse and wrong.
Something like 20 thousand development jobs lost this year, publishers and studios closing down and the kicker is PC gamers alone are spending over billions a year in games they literally never open so you have this almost ghost boycott against left wing ideas in AAA gaming. They NEED every success they can get because eventually a few investors will wise up, fire them and may even make several chud friendly games with culture war marketing.

Calling the spirits haints helps pinpoint the area where this should be taking place. Rather small area around Georgia and South Carolina and tell you who her people are, which should be the Gullah (Gullah Geechee). Now I doubt that will be the case, but that's where and who should be in it.
