I think Madison Cawthrone’s arc was a good litmus test for Nick.

When Madison first got elected and he was the handsome married congressman, Nick hated him.

When the pictures of Madison tea bagging his male cousin surfaced and his wife divorced him, Nick loved him because he said that being “sussy with the boys” is based.

The whole "If being a normal man with a family is your only aspiration in life you are a woman and are giving power to joos" is very obvious "all or nothing" mentality from someone who has nothing. Every normal person would see these violent fantasies as the products of sick minds.
