True enough. Ive seen this in action myself. I think the problem is that we tend to shy away from the truth that some deceases are managed or controlled rather than cured. Although panel 7 is refering to someone refusing a hearing aid which (also from personal experiance) is retarded.

I think it's talking about a cochlear implant, not a hearing aid, and capital-D Deaf people do get annoyed about them, and they're not that great anyway, so I can sort of understand where they're coming from.

I doubt it'll ever cross-over into things like glasses or something as Deaf culture is so different to any other disabled culture due to the language difference.

Which means the few that do become successful actors/public performers will make a lot of money and enjoy success. Which will make them uncle tom traitors and see the frothing war machine turn on them.

It always made me wonder how people never really bitch about others wearing fake glasses cuz theyre trendy. I mean if someone were to wear a hearing aid cuz they think its cool theyd be in for a shitstorm.

He went gay now? Last time I checked, we was genderqueer and had a girlfriend. It's interesting how much he's changed once he went all SJW. While he was still a douchebag in his early days, he could talk about a variety of things and even did some good surreal art. (He was no MC Escher, though.) Now SJW talking points are all he does in his comic.
