Well no, it is entirely different case. This is only the 3 things now. They can charge him for those crimes entirely separate from this.

I am not sure if this conviction will affect the possible penalties on those crimes.

A real man would be setting the example to his kids to never stop fighting when you know you're innocent, and never let anyone fuck you over for something you didn't do.

I mean that's a terrible example for his sons though. If you think you are actually innocent and that there was no wrongdoing from your side there is absolutely no reason to plead guilty and you will be vindicated at trial. I'll go to a more extreme case of one Daniel Villegas.

Daniel Villegas, 37, of El Paso, Texas was exonerated Tuesday after spending nearly 20 years in prison for a double homicide that he did not commit. In 1995, Villegas, then only 16 years old, was wrongfully convicted of the murders of two teenagers in a 1993 drive-by shooting. Although the double murder case was critically lacking in evidence, Villegas’ conviction was largely based on a false confession that he said was coerced by a former El Paso police detective, who had allegedly threatened Villegas. False confessions provided by youth have become a more pervasive issue regarding wrongful convictions in the United States. In a recent study of 328 wrongful convictions in the U.S., it was found that forty-four percent of juveniles provided a false confession in comparison to only thirteen percent of adults.

The guy was coerced into a confession by an El Paso detective for a crime he didn't commit. So basically you are tarnishing your name while you think you did nothing wrong, that's a terrible example, this person fought it for 20 years and he ended up winning. Fuck you this cope doesn't work

It's not completely out of the realm of possibility but unlikely right off the bat. He might qualify for a stay of imposition - where at the end of his probation period, the crimes get dropped to misdemeanor level. Hell, he might still be able to get the desired stay of adjudication if/when he pleas today.

No. They would be considered two entirely different criminal charges.

He has not been charged with any of the other stuff... yet. And maybe he won't be. We'll just have to see.

I have a feeling that even if he were to take a plea today, his problems are far from over. In fact, they might just be beginning.
