A rough range for the timezone would be somewhere between GMT+7 and GMT+12. As I mentioned before there are a few country locale settings on your computer that write timestamps with lowercase letters for AM and PM. I mentioned Australia and New Zealand, but it looks like the English locales for Malaysia and Singapore do too, which would be in this range I'm suggesting. A few African countries also do this, but my opinion is they're low-population enough to ignore for this.

I don't know much about Southern's history aside from the fact that she got her big break in media while still a 20-year-old undergrad after she and Ezra Levant (of Rebel Media fame) supposedly met each other at a conference. He was allegedly "impressed" with her enough to immediately promote her to a prominent role on his website, although I'll allow others to fill in the blanks as to what impressed him, exactly. I'm sure it was probably her talents as a thinker and rhetorician (she has none).
