That one and the one where he starts randomly talking about cocaine and sex to a couple who are posting about their extremely sick child made me think there's something more than just narcissism wrong here. It's not just "attempt at an off color joke that falls flat and comes off bad", we've all done that. Rick genuinely has a severe mental illness of some kind.

Also listened to the Josiah tapes again, and the fact that he was going to Hooligan's before every single call so he could brag to people in earshot that he was being interviewed by HuffPo is killing me. Especially because in the final call he clearly hangs up in panic when everyone hears him get called a fat faggot with bitch tits by the renowned international journalist who was doing a 10 page profile of him.

That, to me, is the funniest thing to come out of all this so far. I'm willing to bet he can top it and I'm very hopeful this happens in public, with recordings we can access. I doubt this happens in any courtroom proceedings but I'll take being very wrong if it does.

Well, a sociopath basically has to always read the room and analyse everything more actively since he can't rely on his own emotions and empathy to have him fit in. And Fatrick isn't very smart in the first place, so maybe he just slipped up and misread the situation. It's bound to happen, but luckily, with his angry pundit persona it doesn't matter a whole lot since being abrasive and callous against the right group of people is his thing and expected.

I don’t profess to be an expert and only know about this particular aspect of it from a brief and very incomplete viewing of the Lynch film; so you’re saying that if Melange ceased to exist they would still have interstellar travel abilities? Forgive me if my understanding is incorrect but, magic space weed properties aside, I was under the impression it was the equivalent of dilithium or tylium from those other universes.

It’s literally the end of the world and fascism and violence are afoot and serious organizers are on bluesky “opposing” the “Marmalade Menace” and “sending skeets” they can’t do that on the “Bad Place” anymore. Deeply unserious people. For someone who calls everyone child he talks like a fucking toddler.
