it's not a 'free lunch' sucrose is the way most sugars appear in plant sources and the delayed blood sugar hit is probably a benefit when its mixed with glucose. that means a soda made entirely out of glucose syrup and dextrose powder isn't healthier its just a diabetic rescue drink

If Putin did nuke Kiev:

Xi would absolutely lose his shit on him and he's made that clear. That would make it easy for India to be out maneuvered into siding with the west and likely force it to. Putin would still have Iran, woo hoo! The entire rest of the world would change its clothes and come back to see that NATO had flattened the base used to launch the nuke, and then would promptly cut almost all ties with Russia entirely.

Putin would then have to deal with internal threats, the oligarchs, since he just demonstrated he's risking their lives for this expedition of his, and the people who carried the orders out would also be forced to run to Putin for safety, or find themselves capped.

Clandestine operations that have been on standby ran by the USA, China, and maybe even a few others would be activated.

Null would post "It happened lol" and people would sneed real hard and then it would fade into memory in a month at most.

If Putin only threatens:

Scared people lobby their governments to stop helping Ukraine. The cost of him flapping his gums is free and maybe a few loaves of bread and a plane ticket for Mr Carlson to visit him again. He might get sued by GW for copying them.

Why? We need to have a big tent policy in regards to cutting government. If a Leftist steps up with a list of programs to cut I welcome them. There should be no sacred cows. Cut it all.

Kahn's Escalation Ladder is a good way to analyze this brought to you by people who know how brinkmanship works.

I don't know why everyone thinks that "you either capitulate or we skip to the end!!!!" these days. I think for younger people it's because of how overbearing schools and parents have been. When you're not a helpless child, or a pussy, people tend to escalate in a reasonable way if they have things to lose.

Putin has a lot to lose. He won't do this unless he stands to gain. He will lie because he thinks it will help him and it's basically free.

Let me ask you this: Why should Russia call the USA's bluff? Why should a militarily more powerful nation get bullied by a nation that can't even invade Ukraine successfully and has resorted to years of "don't cross that line or else" and "don't cross THAT line or else!"

Unless tac nukes are traded back and forth I'm not worried and I really don't get why people are so goddamn pussified.

The issue with High Frutose Corn Syrup is that Fructose gets stored as LDL fat more easily in the liver. Per every 2 Fructose molecules you get 3x the amount of energy you’d get from glucose, but you don’t really need that energy. I forget which step gets you more energy, if might be a pyruvate.

There’s a lot of discussion on if Fructose is cytotoxic. The intermediates also might cause ROS to form and harm the liver, too. I at some point had like a 10 page paper on this shit.
