The main drugs used to treat bipolar mania aren't antipsychotics they are mood stabilizers like Lithium and Depakote and anticonvulsant drugs. Antipsychotics have so many side effects like you mentioned in your post they are generally not the first line of treatment used to treat bipolar mania.Unlike SSRI medication, antipsychotics that are used to treat bipolar aren't administered on a daily schedule (in most cases) and only used only to treat mania when it arises. The side effects of these medications are so tough that for many people its just not possible to take them daily at a therapeutic dose and be able to live a normal, functional life. Who knows if the fan was even manic at all, or if he's just an irresponsible drug addict retard. Nobody even uses terminology correctly anymore.
