From what I'm reading I'm getting the distinct impression I'm better off playing BG3 again.

Steam reviews look astroturfed, and Metacritic isn't releasing user reviews.

I think the Steam review score is because the only people who bought the game are the people who are inclined to give it a positive review. It barely peaked at 70,000 players which is really bad for a major release with no competition.

I don't believe the gamer demographic, even those I'm politically aligned with, have the ability to delay gratification en-mass.

Very based if as a group they have though.

Not trying to be a dick, but did you attempt to make him look slightly gay, or is that JUST the game?
I suspect its the second one, he looks like hes seconds from trying to suck someone off.

I think a big part of it is the eyelashes, but most of the other options are even worse, or you have to pick no eyelashes, which makes your character look like a psychopath.

I also think I screwed up the eyebrows.

I'll have to give it another try.

think of it less about delaying gratification, and more like offering a fat fuck the option to eat a turd. He can only give a review if he eats that turd. He might be a hopelessly fat fuck, but its STILL a turd, and not being into scat, he wont. That said, a bunch of scat lovers will line up and give great reviews of the turd. They ARE a minority, so the turd sales are low, but the REVIEWS are high
Hence, a turd ends up with a 80% rating.
Thats roughly how its working.

Fuck this gay shit I am replaying Origins, I feel like I genuinely need to go and give Sten an apology after witnessing just how much Bioware has debased and defiled his people.

Game didn't cracked 100,000 on release (apparently according to the jew Schrier its a resounding success). For the size of the studio and the probable budget, I don't think the game sold well. I doubt we will get a conformation it underperformed from the heads like we did when Star Wars Outlaw bombed for Ubisoft.

FUCKING EW.
I didn't see this discussed in the last 20 pages so apologies if I'm bringing up an old topic, but does that female dwarf have an Adam's apple?! It even looks as if she does in the video. Are all dwarves troons now canonically?

Let’s say they make a fifth game and you fight the last group of secret evil gods out there. (Or whatever), then what? Where does the story go?
Based on my understanding of the Halo franchise, you just keep making up new, hitherto unknown evil cosmic forces to battle with.

I think we need to wait til at least Monday before we attempt to draw any conclusions. Most people interested in this game are probably waiting to spend their weekend really getting into it (I'm generously assuming they have jobs).

That won't stop me speculating though, so I'm going to guess the playercount peaks at 150k on Saturday and it's all downhill from there. I also predict that, just like Inquisition, people will make a big deal out of it for a month or so then it will be completely forgotten and never talked about again until the next Dragon Age game is being marketed in 10 years.

Soon the public Metacritic score is going to burst open. So hoepfully we will have something a bit more spicy than the steam reviews.

Nah, thats fine. If anything they didn't go far enough.
The traditional fantasy dwarf gender dichotomy is minimal. Females are said to have fuller beards due to having a higher muscle density and beating the men, thus allowing them a high portion of the food.
Likewise in traditional elves, females can be identified by having a larger penis.

They are already cosplaying LOLOLOL. I can see his happiness reeking from every pore in the pic.

I saw this bullshit on reddit:

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Launch Beats Jedi Survivor to Make It EA's Biggest Ever Single-Player Game on Steam

If this is true why is no one playing it? A 70k peak for their best selling game seems suspect. I'm not buying that everyone is waiting for the weekend. That's what casuals do and rpg nerds are far from casuals. Did EA buy a metric shit ton of its own game to make it look like it sold well?

It's spin. No other Bioware game, except the Mass Effect remaster, were listed on Steam day 1 because they all launched on Origin. The numbers they keep quoting, in the case of Inquisition, were Steam releases after it had been on Origin for six years. They only started moving their games to Steam when it became clear that Origin was a dead platform. Basically, the person who wrote that article and anyone pushing it are deceptive and dishonest.

You don't need to look far back when reddit disingeniously lied about something recently: When the Pokemon leaks started and the Typhlosion story came out, some redditor "re-translated" it...only for the entire story to pretty much be exactly the same as with the original machine translation, and yet some people still gassed themselves up that "the story was corrected", despite every horrible thing in it still being true even in the "revised" version of it.
You can make up a lie on reddit and everyone will believe it, if you try calling them out on it you will just get dogpiled and banned. Reddit should be taken even less seriously than wikipedia as far as "sources" go.
