I get a bunch of texts daily now begging for money and voter turnout, but today they sent one that said “A vote at {address} may not have voted. Vote here:” with a link. Not my address or anywhere I lived before, but was creepy as hell to me.

I'm surprised something like that isn't already. In Canada we have the Calgary Stampede (basically a huge state fair/rodeo) famous for hosting big free pancake breakfasts. It's pretty much an annual staple for political leaders to show up for a few hours to make/serve out pancakes, Justin Trudeau snubbed it this year (for reasons way too convoluted to get into here) which prompted a decent amount of criticism.

The only thing that disappointed me about Snowden was the fact that the global West just shrugged when it was all revealed.
