I just heard that JK Rowling is writing a "futuristic" novel. It's funny enough that whatever this book is, it will outsell "Manhunt" 1000 times over. But it would be absolutely hilarious if she wrote a villain based on GFM dying in some gruesome manner.

Sounds like he jumped the gun a bit, I was wondering where the Deadline article was. Lilly is probably giving advice and might produce it if someone actually wants to buy it (the industry is not doing well right now so the odds of that happening aren't great).

There are 100,000 projects in a similar state right now, Lilly even mentioned a couple of others. His post reads like this is definitely happening and they're teaming up and best friends. If someone actually goes for it you can wait five seconds for Lilly to dump him and take over the entire thing.
 
It just sounds like they're going to write a treatment and attempt to sell it. I'd be very surprised to see any major distributor picking this up; as other people have indicated we're past the point where streaming services would just greenlight anything. If anything it looks like they're moving a bit more towards friendly mainstream content with a few high-profile high-cost shows. I don't see where a tv show about a bunch of trannies raping women fitting into that.

I guess there's always Nebula...

Good idea. JK Rowling will no doubt snark about a heaving flesh mountain young woman writer getting a TV show and it will go viral. She could follow with how much she’s looking forward to seeing lots of rape and her own murder on screen.

She should ignore it. Imagine how Gretchen will dilate when his show solely made to fulfill ESG requirements fails to a remake of a beloved franchise that happens to be created by a notable TERF, and said TERF doesn't care that she gets murdered on screen because she's too busy enjoying the success of her own show!
 
It’s never going to get made. Both I Saw The Transvestite Glow and that thing Ellen Page did badly, despite critics desperately trying to hype them up. It would have to be morons all the way up to greenlight something on this scale that will only appeal to troons who won’t actually pay for it.

There's no audience for trannies. Drag queens, yes -- To Wong Foo and RuPaul's Drag Race proved that. But the insults aimed at JK Rowling alone would turn off normal people, not to mention the graphic rape and murder of women whose only crimes are holding opinions the majority of people have. Trannies work as characters for certain shows as long as their trans-ness isn't made into a major point, such as in Euphoria. But few people want to watch a show based solely on tranny pain, and even fewer people were impressed by Toob's performance in House of the Dragon anyway.
