I have to admit, it's getting better. I've enacted the initial phase of the plʌn and gotten tranitors to stop wasting their energy on provocative shitposts and instead on the botting that's making the site borderline unusable. It's not been entirely curbed yet, but now people can actually get in when bot protection is off without worrying about some Angeleno invention that inconveniences everyone but the bots and eats away at the server. There will be a permanent solution to the spam by this week.

Of course there's people lamenting and demoralising, this happens after any change on these sharty-adjacent sites and I can't blame them since they're used to being ruled over by insane people for so many years. Some are truly disgruntled soyteens but most of these people are the same ones who post horrendous faggot bait and then screenshot it to repost with a frog less than a minute later.

Slightly irrelevant but the massive rejection of any type of nuvariant (or any type of new meme) is stagnating and killing the sharty to the point it could become another ‘cuck.
I remember when smugjak first came on the sharty and everyone immediately rejected it because

This type of stagnating culture is the real coal that is killing sharty. If you want to save the site show nuteens the sites culture, and show them how to make gemmy ‘tosses and threads. An encourage the creation of OC
Regardless of how much we complain about nuteens they will be the ones to inherit the site eventually, might as well show them how to make gems before handing them the torch.

What makes a soy variant successful is if it has a purpose or not. Most shitty nuvariants nowadays are exclusively used to self-insert and nothing else. Smugjak caught on because it had a purpose, poking fun at people who act smug and think they are better than everyone. Meximutt caught on because it was making fun of a notorious soybooru lolcow who had been shitting up the site for a year.
Variants like Cobson are unique because they can be used for pretty much anything you want. He's well made, and people used him to make fun of other users, self-insert, and bait that one "shit tier wojack" guy, which is why it remained popular despite being a hated variant back in the day.
