Has anyone heard of Lava Buster? If so, can someone tell me what his fucking problem is?

Hey, remember when Linkara's then-girlfriend IronLiz had her own review show?
About tabletop RPGS?
And it was on Blip?
And they are aaaaalllll gone now?
And that nothing of value was lost?

Except some footage in this reviewer reviewer's video?

And this parody by reviewer reviewer Asalieri?

The only thing catching my ire here is what a sick fuck this guy comes off as with that unfunny masturbation joke.
Seriously, as much as someone out there thinks we need more people like this, that is a goddamn lie. Reviewer Reviewers in general are beyond autistic (or as I'm calling it, stupid.), both in concept and in practice.

Asa's always been an ass and a creepy fuck. We even have a thread on him (though it's not been posted in for nearly a year at this point).

Don't know if this has been posted before, but I felt like sharing this:
I agree with a lot of the points there.

Honestly, I'm glad Iron Liz got out of the that whole Channel Awesome mess when she did. And especially away from Linkara (who allegedly tried to get her not to do the bottom surgery during her transition, because of his fetish for dickgirls/futanari).

I am quite amazed by how uncharismatic and uninspired the new reviewers on Channel Awesome are.

And of course, Linkara has to play "nice guy" and force cameos of those lesser-known (for a reason) reviewers to his audience.
Including "battlegeekplus" where one of the main characters is a complete ripoff of Linkara's "90s kid" character. So bad it makes Sonichu look like a Kojima-Kubrick level of inspiration.

To anyone who asked about Doug's opinion of Moana, here it is.

I just don't think a Daria sequel would work tbh. I suppose if she tries to speak out against today's culture (against Twitter/instagram/internet celebrities, remakes, everybody suddenly going all "progressive" just to get asspats) she'd be seen as anti-millennial or a bigot.

And Animaniacs just doesn't work outside of 90s pop culture references...And Johnny Bravo? In the ultra feminist world we live in now? People would boycott it every five seconds.

I don't know man. I think of the Beavis & Butthead sequel season and it was fucking great. Funny as hell especially to see them riff on MTV Reality shows. Daria is of the era but it hasn't really aged aside from there being no smartphones or social media.

A Daria sequel could work but there's two ways of doing it: either you have the character age and she would be in her late 20's or so. And that could work but it would lose a little bit of the appeal of seeing a teenage outsider that doesn't conform to typical "outsider" tropes (I.E. she's not a goth or emo). This could go either way.

Or you do a complete reboot or focus on Daria's kid which I don't want to see. I never got the impression she wanted children.

Don't kid yourself, if Daria was a teen today she'd be one of those asspat progressives.

Seems like another shitty vid that's really not worth watching, as these ideas are all sounding terrible. Understood.

The character was a liberal but she was never really in your face about it and constantly talking about politics. People who don't watch the show seem to think she's a radical feminist when it rarely ever came up. I can only think of two episodes about that:

The one where she tries on contact lenses and notices that everyone treats her differently without her glasses on.

And the one where she works with the black girl on a school project to get a loan. Then both she and the black girl get offended when the bank manager changes his tune when he realizes the black girl's dad is rich and prominent.

That was it.

She never talks about politics or gender issues or anything. She calls out BS in her usual sarcastic way and that's about it. There's only one other episode where she's political and it's done as a joke: Gwen sets Daria up on a date with a dumb guy, and the guy reads off cue cards questions for Daria. It was funny as hell.

Daria in an SJW world would be interesting.

^Tbh i always figured Daria was like people 'round here the farms: calls bs on both the right and the left.

anyway regardless Daria's story is done. i don't see what new stories can they bring up since it all finished nicely. i suppose there's the thing of Jane being in the closet, but I don't think anyone would care about that, considering people prefer more popular characters like Cap or Elsa to be seen as gay over her.

He always has a shit-eating grin on.
It's almost like it was forced, and that he was trying to pass as a "genuine nice guy" in "real life".

Obscurus Lupa did say that Doug is a big wuss who avoids conflict, and that, to quote Into The Woods, he is neither good or bad, he is just "nice".
