Nick’s chances for a “good” deal decrease each time he accuses County officials of being liars or manufacturing evidence or trumping up charges against him. The more he does that, the more likely it is that the County Attorney is going to say “It’s worth spending the money taking this case to trial rather than letting Nick walk with a deal just so that I can rebut in Court these false accusations against my department, the Court, County Police, and CPS”.

If Nick keeps this up, eventually any deal on the table isn’t going to be worth taking.
