The thought of aging, menopause

Is she aware that testosterone would basically put her in menopause right away? Not in 10-15 years, but right now.

Also, you fool, you are going to age no matter what, and I know that they say that men age like fine wine, but a. most of them really don't, and b. you won't be one of these men anyway because you are not a male who is getting older, you are a female on testosterone who is getting older. It's different. Basically you will probably go bald, fat, and hairy, and have acne like a 15 years old.

I know this would devastate my wife, but I can't help but feel like I have been living this lesser version of my life to appease her and our families, to make everyone else more comfortable. But I have not been happy, and I've tried to do different things. I've been in therapy for years, I've eaten healthier, exercised regularly, journaled, researched, listened to endless podcasts about being non-binary to have that be my final stop on the gender spectrum. I have fucking tried, man. I'm tired.

That's your problem, that instead of trying to accept the undeniable fact that you are a woman you try to be something else. This something else does not work for you, so you think that being a man will make you happy. It wouldn't really, even if the testosterone will make you feel better at first (testosterone is a mood booster, it seems). It wouldn't first and foremost because you can't be a man. You will always be female. You are still trying to be something that you are not. It won't end well for you.
