You good sir are correct. You want to keep it from going below 20%, although that depends on manufacturer. Critically going low all the time reduces the ionic transfer of electrons reducing charge capacity. As such, make sure you charge above 20 and below 80. And once it hits 100%, unplug it to reduce overcharge protection load.
