iFuuny's higher ups thought hiring these "people" would actually improve their platform:

Can you beef up that OP with some meat? Like you’re making a lot of claims here. But where can we learn more?

And yes IFunny is a bit like kiwifarms. They don’t suffer fools nor do they bend to flavor of the week conventional wisdom.

In a way they share the philosophy of Null: “Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Weep, and you weep alone.” Why are offensive memes popular? Because they are funny. And that’s simply all that matters.
ifunny back in like 2014-2015 was really fun. There was a like a 4chan vs tumblr style war on their between the "Offensives" and the bronies
Bronies was basically a catch all term for liberals, niggers, fags, basically anyone that wasn't an "Offensive"
Offensives were the memelords of the app, it actually felt like 4Chan only focused on memes. You could tell who offensives were because their profile pictures were usually Moonman or Michael Rosen.

It's always fucking hilarious watching things implode from dumb as fuck reasons.

I wish all the maniacs out there actually still posting in that festering hell of ass cancer well in their jeetposting.

iFunny was a sponsor of Fishtank 2.5 which just ended, at the afterparty after the finale Jet said they still hadn't been paid, I wonder if that's related.

It amuses me when people say “How is that site still around” on kiwi farms of all places.

How many times has kiwi farms been “taken down”, and had simply stood back up yet again?

Regardless, you should want every iota of the old internet to stay around as long as possible

Normally I'd shit on iFunny but you know what? Even they don't deserve pajeet mods occupying their homeland. Total Punjabi Death, I wish Collective all the best in their struggle for liberation.

I had no idea the ifunny userbase was on this level. I always assumed they were basically like the imgur userbase.

It's not easy to try and change your platform's culture to appeal to new audiences. Most normal people are going to use the popular platforms and stay inside their nigger cattle pens so the only people who are going to be actively seeking different platforms are usually going to be the weirdos and dissidents. Trying to appeal to normies after a decade of catering to that kind of community is usually just going to piss off your community and is not going to attract normies anyways (they are already set in their ways).

But at the end of the day, it's their platform and I don't exactly have a crystal ball, so maybe I'll be proven wrong
