UN France’s new left-wing coalition reveals plans to introduce a 90 per cent tax on the rich amid shock election result - LMAO

The New Popular Front (NPF), a coalition of different left-wing groups, sent shockwaves through French politics over the weekend after winning more seats than both Ensemble, the party of Emmanuel Macron, and Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally.

However, despite winning the most seats at 182, the NPF did not win a majority and is set for a power struggle with Macron in the coming days.

The NPF’s leaders met on Monday to agree upon who they should put forward to lead their proposed new government.

“We are preparing to govern, to apply the programme which is ours,” said Manuel Bompard, co-ordinator of the France Unbowed party.

This programme looks set to include 90 per cent tax rate on annual income of over €400,000 as well as the slashing of retirement age from 64 to 60.

The NPF is also committing to at least €150 billion in spending over the next three years and calling for a 14 per cent rise in the minimum raise.

Following Sunday’s shock results, Macron’s prime minister Gabriel Attal resigned but was quickly asked by the French president to stay on in a caretaker role.

Bompard, however, has suggested Attal, 35, remaining in post would defy the will of the French people.

“There is no question of Gabriel Attal’s continuation [as prime minister] wiping out the vote of French people,” he said, as he called on Macron to “respect” the election result.

Supporters of Macron’s Ensemble have rejected the idea that Sunday saw a victory for the NPF.

“No one won,” said Gérald Darmanin, the interior minister.

Despite coming third in Sunday’s election, the National Rally’s Le Pen has insisted her party’s victory was “only delayed.”

She also branded Macron’s position as “untenable.”

Jordan Bardella, president of National Rally, said: "We've been thrown into the arms of the extreme left and of Jean-Luc Melenchon."

It's the EU, what stops an individual making > €400K from flocking to a non leftist shithole?
Also no company is going to let themselves get shafted with a 90% corporate tax rate lmfao. Many companies worldwide know how to fuck with these systems both legally and illegally.

400 thousand euros a year is above middle class. It is the lower rung of upper class. But the upper rich will just flee it. Stupid frogs forgot you need guillotine and than confiscate the gold after.

Whatever reason they tell you, they're not being honest. They want you dead. Left-enviromentalists view people as a disease on the planet, and killing energy production is a damn efficient way to have lower population sustainability.

At first I was depressed seeing yet another round of election shenanigans. The "far right" in the UK (consisting of anyone who doesn't want more immigrants) got way more votes than Liberal Democrats (more immigrants, plus LGBT), but only got a fraction of the influence in parliament because of our faggy voting system.

Seeing how all the parties in France joined together to deny the will of a lot of the population by tactical methods, really made me think there was no hope. AfD won't win in Germany, the brown tide will continue. But seeing articles like this makes me think this is the funniest, and therefore the best outcome.

If their leftist coalition lasts any longer than 6 months I'll be surprised. They are going to cannibalise themselves, as usual. In the meantime, we can all sneed at France being turned into a literal 3rd world country, which will be convenient because most of the population is from those countries anyway.

The people I've met making 400 are usually top level Engineers for giant corps. To pull 400k no more no less you're probably one of the most competent people in your field. They always say "this will only hit people making more than 400k" because that's more than your avg prole can even envision or possibly aspire to so they think "yeah! stick it to those caviar eating champagne swilling fat cats!" But the fat cats have trust funds, tax hideouts, ect ect. The guy making 450 is usually working his ass off in some ground level useful field like energy, engineering, or construction. All things France clearly has no need for... It's all so tiresome.

I'll say that what ends up destroying the coalition if anything is the Israel-Palestine conflict. The leftists will obviously want Palestine to have aid and all the aid to Israel dropped but that's not going to happen as shown by other countries when the left is in power because the establishment will continue to support Israel, causing left-wing infighting to occur and most likely the most rabid pro-Palestine leftists get voted out by pro-Israel liberals.
