The interesting thing about the 2009 CPS date was that 2009 was also Nick's last year of known normal employment and last year of living in the Minneapolis area. 2009 is also the year when Kayla goes back to college.

That opens up a window to wonder if the move to Spicer and going to law school were some sort of intervention by Nick's relatives in the wake of some set of 2009 problems.

My guess is that they were looking at adopting if Kayla was not able to carry a pregnancy to term. It could also have been a 'test drive' for having kids...

Not that it really matters, but they specifically cite YouTube as the source version of the streams they'll be using. I wonder if they made a copy of the May 20th stream as happened (or shortly thereafter, before he deleted it), or they had to to file paperwork to get an authentic recovered copy from Youtube/Google.

It would be funny to me if there was a Sheriff's Deputy/Detective watching Rekieta live. The investigation began sometime before the Cokestream that seemed to cause them to pull the trigger on getting a search warrant.

I think it's the 'segmented' bit that means there are multiple tests per child. They cut the hair into specific lengths in order to attempt to get an estimate of how long ago it was that the cocaine was consumed.

I thought it was funny when @Big Mommy did a special thumbnail for the MATI episode archive the following day. Something I think they rarely do. It included @elb's message "go to bed."
