Knew it. Another big part of public school is not only the ability to make friends but for those friends to also have experience dealing with junkie parents. This is why the "latchkey kids" always have such fond memories of hanging out at friends' houses and fucking around. even if their parents were junkies they could rely on friends to support them. meanwhile like PPP said, the church most likely ostracized the entire family and what friends the kids had from their extracirriculars they literally wouldn't have been able to go see because they'd have to rely on the drunks to drive them over.

which one? also have you played FrostPunk, its a somewhat unique city builder with an interesting setting and seems right up your alley. Also the sequel is coming out this summer and the gameplay videos make it look like trying to herd cats, because you're juggling various weird groups in your city.

I have to check that. I was pretty sure she never finished, but it tracks that if she wanted to be a doctor, she stopped pre-med, then went back for childhood education later.

The coop taught every subject except 1-2 that they did at home. They had assessments on those at the coop. They were there 3-4 days a week. They would be missed. The coop was hosted through the church as well, so doubly missed.

Minnesota requires homeschoolers to maintain meticulous records or lesson plans, syllabi, and records of assessments. They were not doing a free-range education by any means.

The extracurriculars were organised through the church-affiliated coop, local schools, and they went to others with people they met at the coop.

There were plenty of opportunities for people to miss them.

I don't think he was ever really diagnosed with it, because on his most recent youtube stream, he didn't know how to pronounce it. If a doctor ever said to his face "You have cholinergic urticaria" he would know how it was said. I think he got it off WebMD

Nick Rekieta was NOT sexually abusing the nine year old! If he was, he would be fighting for custody.

(A subtlety: I don't mean that he would be maintaining custody to silence her; he is not so forethoughtful. I mean that if she was a sexual resource to him in any way, he would fight tooth and nail to keep her ensnared.)
