Fair point but the same could be said for anyone else “close to the Rekietas”. I don’t think this is Aaron.
If it is the nanny, she could have been gaslit / bullied by Nick enough to prevent her from acting, at least until other details coming out confirmed it.
You know “you didn’t see what you thought you saw, you don’t know the whole picture, how dare you accuse us…. Now fuck off and take this generous final payment”. Or she literally had signed an NDA and has had to get legal advice about that before coming forward.
 
Nanny seems unlikely in terms of something bad she knew was happening 6 months ago that didn't come out already but will in a few days. She's affiliated with the church and would've been the go to source for members concerned about the Rekieta's. It could be more along the lines of a divorce drop with allegations and that's how someone would know when it's coming. Someone in Kayla's family perhaps.

Gay op is the most likely outcome though.
 
I don't want to harp on it but seriously, a lot of really bad child abuse starts when parents get into heavy stimulant use and bring strange sexual partners around, even in families that were totally normal and functional before the drugs. We just normally see it manifesting in white trash, ragepig type scenarios.

It may be subjective whether it is "worse" or "better" than a 9 y/o intentionally being given cocaine (we still don't know why or how this happened and may not ever), but previous speculation ITT questions whether Nick tried to get April or the real nanny herself to fuck the 16 y/o because Nick has stated he wished his parents were open with him about their having sex at that age (which is fucking weird itself). I think 99% of people with half a brain cell would find that pretty revolting, weird as fuck, and borderline sex predatory. Powerlevel I guess but I'm not yet 30, and I find the idea of fucking a 16 y/o pretty incomprehensible. They're baby faced kids. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an emotionally immature, stunted loser at best. Like the 20 something dude that relies on buying high schoolers beer for "friends."

Another consideration: Everyone here is familiar with them, but there are people involved who wouldn't have known who they were until a month ago. The source might've been browsing Twitter to read what people are saying, found links to the show and reached out. It happened with Nick during the Vic stuff.

Yes, but they can turn nasty, especially when it comes to custody of the kids. The state's got 'em for now, but maybe one side gets them sooner if they can paint the other as a monster.

No intention to argue for 16yo having sex, could care less, just think is mind blowing to sell it on the same level of the 9yo story, like I said on the first post you responded to.
 
Were some of the Rekita kids even going to school anymore? We know the oldest was at an actual school during the bust, but at that age it sounds like he was on his own initiative and probably wanted to get out of the house.

Given the friction with the wider church community that they supposedly home schooled with Id say some of the younger kids had not been going to school for awhile. In fact I think that was mentioned in the report seeking the warrant.

I’m sure they will claim Kayla was home schooling but that’s BS. I do have to wonder about how Kayla’s hanging in there. She’s got no children to care for and Nick has made April his main squeeze. Maybe part of April’s job duties is playing Kayla’s BFF too. Or maybe she’s just staying zonked out on pills and gives no fucks.
 
The real nanny is another wild card. She left, and if I remember correctly, is currently doing the same job for a different lawyer.

Hypothesis: Nick had her sign an NDA, she moves on due to fucked-up Rekieta situation being against her Scandinavian prude moral values.
When she sees the paperwork regarding the bust, New Boss lets her know that most NDA's are BS, and offers her cover if shit-head Nick comes after her.

I don't see how that would result in KC getting info, unless they have a contact in the Minnesota court system.
 
Another vector to consider here:
Nick wasn’t charged with child abuse, but Kayla was, and the language involved described “knowingly facilitating” or some thing like that, right?

I wondered at the time whether that meant that zombie mommie let one of the kids get predated on by some kind of swinging buddy. Or, worse, one of the minor children was getting screwed up by all of this youthful exposure to debauchery and took a shot at abusing one of their siblings. And zombie mommy knew but did nothing, while Nick was too self involved to even hear about it in the first place.

The sky’s the limit for horror scenarios here. A house full of lawyers, guns, money, and minors. It’s like a Warren Zevon greatest hits album ffs
