So the colonies are picking a new govenor general or whatever they call them to replace the kenyan fellow they had last time.

The choice this year is between a ginger tax dodging democrat oaf and a reptoid dynastic politician up to her neck in lies and corruption. As ever the contest between red and blue has been riveting, with much grabbing of pussies and hiding of emails.

We have a thread charting the campaigns but the big day deserves its own thread.

Who are you voting for? Who will win?

How many kiwis will lose the rag and get banned?

Please clap

I voted for $hillary, but unlike her I can accept defeat. GG, Trump.

A song for all the disenfranchised voters who won this election for him.

Listen, a lot of smart Kiwis here have supported Donald. I may not agree with them but I know they're not the inbred, Neo-Nazi monsters Hillary supporters paint them to be. The Donald won for a reason. Let's put down the pitch forks and give him a chance.

I know they aren't either. It just feels like a bit of fun taken too far; and you just don't really know with a guy like him at the seat. Y'know?

So now that Trump has won, what do you guys think are the reasons why he won?
Mainly because Hillary's tactic was to shame everyone by calling them racists, sexists, homophobes and expected them to kiss her feet. They didn't.

Also because the democrats painted everyone who supported Trump as a complete monster, so there wasn't any room for those people to flip to Hillary's side while Trump was more accepting.

Trump campaigned to the consistently rising (rightful) complaint that the American governmental system is flawed and 24/7 ruled by paperpushers who only think and never do. Because of this he won over the Libertarians and the Republicans, as well as a great many disenfranchised Democrats after Bernie got kicked to the curb. Because of that, his lack of addressing of the actual problems and how he would solve them became overlooked. He basically made all other sides look incompetent and focused on that to distract from his own incompetence. Shillary tried a similar tactic of focusing on her opponent's incompetence, but she failed to ride on the dicks of the people who have been complaining about how America sucks thanks to do-nothing politicians.

So basically, incompetence versus incompetence will always end in victory for the one who is the louder asshole.

The social-justice crowd is becoming infamous for their stupidity, and Hillary is the candidate they backed. Trump's supporters sound downright pleasant compared to the crowd that starts riots and tries to silence anyone who steps out of line.

All the president does is give speeches and look serious for the news cameras when a tragedy or w/e happens. You could put actual literal Hitler time-travelled from the 1930's into the white house and America would be fine because they're not a revolution-prone warlord's potentate.
