So the colonies are picking a new govenor general or whatever they call them to replace the kenyan fellow they had last time.

The choice this year is between a ginger tax dodging democrat oaf and a reptoid dynastic politician up to her neck in lies and corruption. As ever the contest between red and blue has been riveting, with much grabbing of pussies and hiding of emails.

We have a thread charting the campaigns but the big day deserves its own thread.

Who are you voting for? Who will win?

How many kiwis will lose the rag and get banned?

Please clap

If the early predictions are holding true for House and Senate, the Republicans essentially have a shot at stacking the court 7-2.

Even if the Democrats manage to make gains in the Senate--they are dead in the water as far as the House goes until 2020 and the census--they are still going to be very limited in their capabilities and potential to stop nominees.

Hillary's loss could be the linchpin in a massive unraveling for the Democrats.

The DNC should be disbanded. Losing to trump means you don't get to carry on.
MFW the Democrats actually though Clinton over Bernie was a good idea.

Those eggheads thought they were the smart "'adults in the room' showing the children how the world is."

Looks like the world showed them.

Independents won big - more than 10% in many states. This means big things down the line.

Maybe they're the real winners here. The Dems failed and Trump isn't going to stick to a single one of his promises because as we all know, they're literally impossible across the board, not to mention the Republicans still kind of hate him (and are themselves fucked after so many pulled support). The reds are supposed to be an answer to basically Obamacare but that's not going to happen, they'll fail too.

This could be the end of the traditional party system as we know it. And that may not be a bad thing.

I'll only really give him Muslims here. There's been a lot of bombast in the leadup to Trump's campaign, but what isn't imagined is how they're getting serious blowback (across radical and non-radical stripes alike) after ignoring the terrorism issue for some time.

Someone stick a banana in my mouth and wake me up pleeeeease.

I wonder how Canada will handle their impending American refugee crisis. I hope they deport them all for being faggots.

Eh, it's not that simple. If you live in an already-blue state, you really don't have anything to worry about since most of these so-called "morality" issues fall back to the state level under right-leaning justices. That, and Trump just doesn't give a shit as a former New York democrat. He's not living and breathing the stuff like Phil Robertson or his shitty VP.

Right leaning states have been able to scale down or ignore a lot of the judicial activism of a leftie court and the same will presumably be true in the future. Some big stuff like federal gay marriage got through though.

And I mean decisions like Citizens United and the weakening of the Voting Rights Act happened anyway under the previous court.

It will be amusing to see 'states' rights' become a left-wing issue though.
