and the rest are using retarded arguments they got from Barnes
Imagine getting arguments for this guy:

"We are legal mercenaries guys"

After they got fired by Snipes they opened a law office in Malibu to ride the wave of the acquittal on Snipes's other major charges (conspiracy to defraud the federal government and filing a false claim for a $7 million tax refund) and to avoid blame for the 3 year old prison sentence Snipes got on the misdemeanor counts.

Barnes predicted during that time that after 18 months him and Robert Bernhoft would be rolling in high-end California clients.

1718897357926.png (A)
Their client after Wesley Sniper was Joe Francis after he was accused for tax evasion by the government. Let's see how that went:

1718898256160.png
1718900217600.png (A)
Joe Francis calls the Bobs swindlers who only care about getting big in Hollywood and Robert Bernhoft says that the Los Angeles Daily Journal story about Joe's lashing out against the Bobs is a defamatory hit piece.

1718899541503.png (A)
1718899603771.png
The public falling out happened after the Bobs filed a motion to withdraw from the tax case.

1718898899240.png (A)
Barnes filled a motion in court refuting what Francis said. I have attached it as a pdf.

So Barnes in his quest to get those high profile celebrity clients already had a public falling out with one of them and quit the Snipes's case to avoid blame for the 3 year prison sentence. :story:

"I have a 0% conviction rate as a lawyer."

"Don't you drop your clients if it looks like the case is not going well?"

"Hey, I'm technically correct, which is the best kind of correct for a lawyer."

Clowns are more dignified.

Good faith offer? GOOD FAITH OFFER? That sounds like BENDING THE KNEE TO THE GOVERNMENT, Mr. Barnes. If we can call you 'mister' after that betrayal of libertarian VALUES.
He cucked to the goooberment and licked their boots. Shameful display as a staunch libertarian.

Kayla might have a shot at saying she didn't know about the coke in the safe or had no access to it, didn't know the combination, and therefore was not personally in "possession" of it. That really just gets the numbers down, though, and utterly fails to exonerate her of allowing child abuse.
IIRC if they find drugs in a house, everybody gets the same charge for it and it is assumed they all had ownership of the same amount. Not sure if I worded that right.

Technically, as a Schedule II, it's still recognized as having some legitimate medical uses.

It's very limited though. I can pretty much guarantee you that whatever Nick believes is legitimate medical use here is bullshit.

If he was feeding the 9 year old (then 8 years old) cocaine, he's a child abuser. Lock him up.

Seriously, it's been said by others, but this thread is not funny anymore. Nick is a straight up horrorcow now. If it weren't for the fact Null made a Balldo tag just for him, I'd ask that that one be applied for this thread. Fuck Nick.
I got curious and reading this: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9032145/

I found this fun little thing:

"A vast majority of cocaine users co-consume it with alcohol, and report that this combination extends the duration of the stimulation and counterbalances the dysphoria subsequent to cocaine use [24]. Generally, ethanol potentiates both the morbidity and mortality of cocaine [150,151]. The use of cocaine in combination with alcohol is cardiotoxic [100] and leads to the formation of CE, a pharmacologically active metabolite, as previously mentioned..."

The thought of Nick last night about to start up a stream and talk about whatever nonsense he could and pretend he's not in a lot of legal trouble only for him to see someone leaked documents about his daughter testing positive for cocaine makes me laugh. You can visualize the scowl and frown forming on his face when he realized.
The Cops don't always play fair or nice. I would not rule out someone connected with the case, assuming the Nick Circus has really caught their attention among the piles of crap they deal with daily. Anyway Someone connected with the case may have noted Nick's scheduled glorious return to streaming, and dropped the document, or tipped somebody off that it was in the system, just to see what Baldo would do on stream.

If this is in fact what happened, it's kind of brilliant. It's a relatively trivial child privacy violation, which the Juvee and Family Court Judge may pitch a fit about. But it's not a Police or Prosecution Document. It's not something they have any responsibility or accountability for. The Privacy violation is The Kids, not Nick's. Nick has no privileges, protections or rights with regards to the document. So it has no impact on his criminal case. And Nick is not the kids advocate at this time. Note they did not leak this until after the court ruled to keep the kids.

And it got exactly the reaction on stream that they were likely hoping for. The Lawpope frothing shrieking and screaming. Saying things that will end up buying his lawyer a new Porsche.

You have to admire the strategic nastiness of it. And just how stupid Nick is.

Have people noticed how rehearsed the last cope stream from Nicky has been?
There were times it was clear to me that he was reading off his computer, stopping his train of thought to make sure he ticked his preset points.
This slug in human form spent hours maybe even days rehearsing for a stream he was late to and riddled with technical issues. He stood there looking in the coke stained mirror thinking how he could quickly refresh his show for his big comeback. Some people say that this is still a smoke and mirror sham and he didn't try anything. But I will give him the benefit of the doubt. His alcohol and drug abuse as well as sleep deprivation has clearly lowered his IQ. I trust that this was his best effort.
Some people believe that alcohol or drugs can make a man act outside of character. And while I think they can make someone's actions appear that way. You can tell under all the snow and bourbon that this petty little man cares more about his appearance as a streamer than his own kids.
He could tard wrangle his coke fiend side piece to help him move some furniture in the studio. He managed to drive himself to a barber shop and get a yee yee ass haircut. He found a clean shirt, might have even tried to iron it. This is days upon days of concerted effort towards a clear goal.
And not one ounce of effort was spent getting his kids back or trying to make amends with them. He could have accepted CPS piss testing him and the kids would be back home in a minute. You could always say that he loved coke more than his kids. But he clearly didn't love coke enough to catch a DUI while getting his hair cut. He didn't love coke enough to not clean up part of his drug den. And to be frank he could still have coke and kids, he would just need to be smart enough to cheat the piss test or at least gullible enough to try. Plenty of druggies try to get a hold of their kids, why not him?
Nick Rekieta is a drug addict, an alcoholic, a liar, a cheat and many many more things but those things are just faults he collected, underneath all of that there is a petty heartless creature incapable of loving his own children because he can only love himself. He could get clean, he could get a real job, he could even somehow find some moral fortitude. None of that makes up for the fact that he clearly is unable to love the 5 children he brought onto this world. And if Kayla stands by this man to this point then she is just as bad if not worse.

If they end up before a jury, they are both fucked. There is no way a normal person could look at what happened here and absolve either one of them of fault.
My personal theory is that as of right now that's Nick's plan, and if he follows through with it then it will end in disaster for him.

His behaviour indicates quite clearly he is not interested in putting in the groundwork to improve whatever plea deal he might be offered. Instead, his confrontational attitude is just going to work against him in that regard. It only makes sense if someone is aiming to take something to court and win.

This brings up two subjects I’m interested in.
1. The level of access Nick has with the family trust vs his parents control.
2. If the Reiketa’s and Kayla’s family are on the same team, or not. If Nick still has his own family buying his BS or they have accepted he’s an out of control addict that needs help.

Nick needs that trust because he can’t support himself and his batshit lifestyle on his streaming income. He certainly doesn’t behave as someone worried about money.

It’s common for trusts to be set up so access to funds comes in stages, to make sure an immature person doesn’t blow the wealth when they are being an idiot at 18 or 25. The ages of 35 or 40 are typical to use as the ages someone comes into the full control of their share, whatever that is. Smaller disbursements at 18, 21, 30 are common too.
There were or are definitely trusts in Nick's mother's name which were specified in his grandfather's will.

We don't really know the structure of those trusts and whether or not that trust in his mother's name would pay Nick out on a defined basis or not. Nick has insisted he only received a small sum in inheritance from his grandparents. We also don't know whether his mother set up trusts to support her children or not. There are Nevada LLCs formed by his mother with her initials and the initials of her children.

My personal guess has been that there is actually no formal trust for Nick and he is provided with cash or an ad-hoc basis.

This will happen a lot faster if Nick’s parents have away to turn off, or lessen the flow, of the money faucet. Given Ty suddenly popping up in the recent stream I’d bet he’s been tapped to play the “ally” or insider for Nicks family to try and steer Nick or at least keep on top of what he’s thinking. Ty would be taking orders from the parents, not their coked out retard son.

It seems like up until the arrest Nick’s dad was trying to play the role of understanding dad and friend. I’m curious if the recent developments haven’t pushed him into “tough love” territory because the priority has to be the minor children, not the adult parents just behaving as petulant children (with lots of cocaine).
All indications are that Nick's parents are still on side with Nick. Nick's dad was one of the 3 witnesses in the document that got posted and it's possible they are the foster parents (since he was not listed by name in the list of people present, and the only people not listed by name were the foster parents).

From what I gather, Ty Beard, who was Nick's grandfather's lawyer, was basically showing support.

Petrofac trustfund btfo'd?
Nope, quite the opposite. This doesn't mean much.
The IPO was nearly 20 years ago and his grandfather's lockup period expired 15+ years ago.

I doubt his family's wealth depends much, if at all, on the value of Petrofac stock anymore.

You can tell the type of person Balldo is based on how he looks at the people he's talking to. It's harder to see on live than if you met him in person, but you can see it sometimes when he's talking to someone like Uncivil Law. Whatever facial expression he's making, or however he's acting, he's always appraising the person he's talking to, like he's his own audience for how great a Master Trickster he is. It's the Nick show, hosted for the benefit of Nick, at the expense of everyone else.

I've known a few people who do it, and they've all turned out to not be as smart as they thought they were. It turns out most people can tell when you're a snake, and you might think you're tricking them because they go along with it to be done talking to you faster, but you're not. When you're consistently manipulative and deceitful you're just as predictable as an honest person, and frankly easier to manipulate yourself.

Nick has always had stuff people want (money, coke, clout, even the dream that the 'trad dad' lifestyle can be real) so they've gone along with his ringmaster act, but as soon as Lord Balldo loses his fortune and his name nobody is gonna give him the time of day. The only people Nick's ever really fooled is the audience he doesn't respect. He's not a good manipulator, just a rich one.

The pics of him as a young man are very illustrative cause I knew a guy who looked just like that in college, we were housemates for a while. He was the horniest guy I ever knew, he'd dry-hump the furniture if he thought nobody was looking, but the desperation seeped out of his pores like natural pussy repellent. So he was always thinking up gay schemes to trick or coerce girls into sex, but none of them ever worked. He was always trying to pit people against each other, like socialising was a zero-sum game and for him to win someone else had to lose. But he was dumb as shit so ended up ostracised and then got his ass kicked for thinking he was a good enough talker to resell fake lacrosse polo shirts as real ones and that nobody would notice. Same spazzy, scrawny movements as rackets too.

I doubt his family's wealth depends much, if at all, on the value of Petrofac stock anymore.
If they're smart or have good advisors, yes. It's shockingly common to get wiped out by that, though.

I would imagine the family was doing it right, however.

I still wonder if Kayla did a complete u-turn, going to rehab, stabbing Nick in the back with divorce, and genuinely trying to get better if she'd get off and get the kids back. However, she doesn't seem to be doing that. I can't imagine her lawyer wouldn't advise it.
I suspect Kayla crawled into a smelly unwashed bed the day she made bail, and has not crawled out.

Well we don't know with respect to their personal portfolio but the charity's books are required to be relatively public as a private foundation.

I looked over the Form 990s and it documents that the family foundation did diversify its holdings after Nick's grandparents donated a total of tens of millions worth in stock.
A review of public records in the form of the foundation’s Form 990s reveals that the foundation was funded in three years [2006, 2007, 2008] with an additional year with a small donation, 2010 ($425).

For 2006 and 2008, an attached Schedule B identifies stock in Petrofac Limited as the form of the noncash donation to the foundation by the Owens. The ticker symbol (POFCF) represents the listing on US OTC markets for Petrofac Limited, which trades on the London Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PFC. Note that this is different from the rest of the post, since I’m using the Petrofac stock price on the London Stock Exchange multiplied by the GBP/USD exchange rate to calculate the value of a Petrofac share in dollars.

In December 2006, the Owens donated 700,000 shares of Petrofac Limited, the value of which was estimated at $5,514,250 ($7.88/share).

In February 2008, the Owens donated 1,000,000 shares of Petrofac Limited, the value of which was estimated at $8,640,000 ($8.64/share)

For 2007, there is no attached Schedule B that I can find on the Form 990s retrievable online for the Foundation. However, the revenue from contributions for the year was $6,441,120. My understanding of a list of short term sales attached as Schedule 1 is that there were a total of $11.6 million in sales for two batches of 700,000 shares in Petrofac Limited. As such, I believe that the proper number for 2007 is also 700k.
