Yes, Kayla had options. She still kept her kids in danger. I'm just saying domestic violence is more complex than just leave. Kayla 💯 deserves what is happening.

Kayla has the option to go to rehab and move in with her parents, while CPS case is open. She just wouldn't be allowed alone with the kids until unsupervised is court ordered.

Nick's optics are so bad at this point that the official Noseguard narrative revolves around justifying why it's not that big a deal that he's a cokehead who neglects his children. Even his greatest defenders admit he's guilty.

Raising ONE kid alone as a single mom is hard and leads to bad outcomes for the children.

Trying to make a 16 year boy shoulder the responsibility of 4 younger siblings is abusive. In a pinch, he COULD do it, but that should only have to happen in a worst case scenario where both the Father and Mother are FUCKING DEAD.

I can't believe how blatant the cope is. This is the poorest excuse for Nick's drug abuse and neglect of his children that they could have possibly come up with. When the footage of Nick's house comes out I hope these retards get slapped upside the head by clarity so hard that their reality breaks and they're stuck in a hellscape where Hillary Clinton won the 2016 election.
 
The undercurrent behind Rekieta’s kids not stepping up and doing chores and making food is ignoring that the Rekieta’s as parents failed to instill these ideas in their kids. Well before they became coke heads they just left their kids with the nanny instead of bashing it in their heads “No you have to do the laundry” or “If you’re hungry we have spaghettiOs just don’t over eat so you miss dinner”. If you combine this with Nick’s previous comments trashing his kids as burdens it shows the Rekietas just did the bare minimum for their kids when raising them. These issues were already there and present in the Rekieta’s household, the coke just made them more prominent.

You're not a child at 16 and yes, you should be expected to help with your younger siblings as you grow old enough to be an adult. It's hands on experience for you to become a parent yourself. Do you really find multi-generational households teaching the kids to be adults that objectionable? When I was 14 I was baby sitting other people's kids as a source of income. 14-16 used to be the age where local teenagers with good reputations started baby sitting younger kids for an evening while their parents went out for a while.

Yeah I really don't think it can be overstated enough, the condition of this house was likely horrific by the time the police intervened. Aaron indicated it was pretty bad before he and the nanny were absent for months and the Rekietas started their latest very rapid visible downturn. We'll probably see those photos he's apparently been passing around soon, but I'm expecting the bodycam footage to be very sad viewing.

In one of Nick's stories about a "family wedding" on Kayla's side, he suggested that one or more people on Kayla's side had alcohol or other problems. That sort of thing being in the family can create even bigger problems with someone who wants to leave. There is also the matter of money. In a situation like this, someone like Nick can literally bribe the extended family into being his enablers and supporters of the marriage.

Some of that is speculation, but there are lots of ways that situations like this can end up playing out where the extended family isn't necessarily helpful in getting a person out of a bad situation. At least until something like the arrests at the house happened.
