If Rekieta had hired a good attorney from the day of his arrest, that good attorney would be on his knees pleading with him right now to get the fuck offline and keep his stupid, drunken, junkie, whore-mongering mouth shut. Alcoholics take days to sober up after a sustained period of drinking; weeks and sometimes months for the fog to clear completely. There is a domestic violence shelter literally less than a 15 minute drive from where they live that will also house their children. All I did to find it was search "Kandiyohi County domestic violence shelter". This is a county of 43,000 and yet they have their own shelter. Just like it's now basically impossible to starve to death in America unless you choose to because of all of the available food banks in every possible location, it's really accessible to get domestic violence resources in America if you actually choose to use them.

I don't think you can blame this on his upbringing at this point. For as much of a meme as it sounds, he did become a licensed lolyer, and he wasn't this way when he first started streaming. I remember the absolute smashed rants were a rarity. He was rarely, if ever, blackout drunk at the end of a stream during the vic saga. I think what's happening now is ALL on Nick.

A few things that I can’t help but find very telling.

1: Those leaked DMs? Nick goes “my dad tallied up ALL the driving! EIGHTY MILES!!!” Lol… Some people have that as a commute one way. And Nick thinks an hour and a half of driving WITH HIS KIDS, is some kind of huge sacrifice? What a lazy cunt.

2: Kurt cried yesterday over the whole situation. But Kurt still isn’t cool enough to be invited into Nick’ 1437 club of cool streamers that he’s on DM with, unlike Legal Mindset. Get fucked Nick. Kurt may be a bit of an autist, but if you have a friend who’s this loyal, you treat him right.

3: Notice the tactic he uses against Yellowflash. Immediately DARVO. Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. “Well Yellowflash, what about the time when YOU…”

Nick still believes that he's completely in control, not only with every aspect of his life, driving etc. but he also believes he still has complete control over the drugs (he can quit at any time, he's handing it). Nick desperately needs to be in control as he regards not being in control as being a failure as a man, this is why he can't admit that the drugs control him and he has a problem, it would require Nick admitting to himself that he's lost control.

The reason he hasn't noticed the children starving and not having clean clothes is because he doesn't want to notice, he's blocking it out because he doesn't want to take up the responsibility, that's his wife's job, and if Nick focuses on the driving then he's still completely in control of his side of the marriage, regardless of his wife's failings, the driving is a crutch and his cope in all this.

Until he admits that he's lost control and become a Junkie he will keep spiraling and hurting everyone around him.
