It’s really hard to predict because so little is known about Kayla compared to Nick. What we have been served up about Kayla has mostly been via Nick’s puppeteering and curation. The first non-Nick controlled info we have about Kayla is coming from Aaron and while I don’t believe everything he said, I think he’s being fairly honest about what happened and how.

I think Kayla tried to be the best Christian SAHM trad mom when that’s what Nick wanted. Then became Nick was unhappy, dissatisfied with being small town Minn family man in huge house. I think this caused Kayla to panic. She listened closely to his streams for clues to how to be what Nick wanted and determined he wanted a party girl seining lifestyle. (Nick definitely wanted this but I think he adeptly manipulated Kayla to come around to it. It was her idea even!)

Being a SAHM of five minor children makes a woman very vulnerable. We can all say “leave! Divorce!” but I think all Kayla sees is a very wealthy family and an attorney husband who would bloody her in a divorce, has infinite money to fight and use her kids as pawns. Attorneys are known to be vicious in divorces and like reminding spouses how fucked they would be if they tried to fight them in court or take their kids. Real nasty.

Also I think she loves Nick and doesn’t want to divorce him. The way Nick talks and acts is Kayla (and kids) being an albatross around his neck.

If Kayla sticks by Nick’s side for the next few months she’s basically a Stepford wife who will do his bidding. Nick is smarter than her and lacks empathy. I think he has easily molded Kayla into doing what he wants for years. Unfortunately what Nick wants changes, sometimes rapidly, it’s hard for her to keep up. It’s been a losing game since his e-fame.

If she gets clean, gets therapy she would leave him. I think she’s scared and will just do what Nick tells her to do. She seems terrified of losing Nick/ being alone.

The fact they still had dramatic fights indicates there is still strong emotions and codependency there, which isn’t surprising given they’ve been married for twenty years and have five kids.

The sickest part of them grifting this and milking it for clout and financial gain is that some of these fuckface creeps will still posture that they're in the right for speculating wildly by telling the world the warrant was unconstitutional, because they "waited" until the warrant came out to condemn Nick.

I'm still kind of in awe in how quickly and destructively this blew up in Nick's face. I mostly expected the pill stream to be another rung on the ladder of drunken streams like the Dear john one. Not propel him into criminal stardom as the most disgraced person of his town.

This all could have been solved if they got a live in nanny to watch the kids while Nick and his sister wives did all the blow in the world. That's what those LA types do. That or they send the kids to boarding school.
 
What kills me is how senseless the child neglect is in this case. The Rekietas have the money, ability, and time to feed and clothe those kids. They simply chose not to do it. How fucked.
