But most defendants haven't hurled vile insults about the genitalia of the specific judge trying their case to an audience of thousands hundreds maybe dozens of autistic shut-in retards.

Personally, I think she should, from both cases, but I really don't think anything she's said or done rises to the level of the "appearance of impropriety" that would mandate recusal.

It would be a bad principle that all you have to do to disqualify a judge is publicly insult her.

It's perfectly valid to be concerned about the government infringing on a citizen's 2A right. But in this specific case Barnes is being very dishonest in his Balldo guarding as he potrays the case as ONLY a 2A issue when Nick was a user of controlled substances and had .22 caliber spent shell casings on the floor of the nightstand in the master bedroom while his kids were around, which means he probably shot a gun while he was high out of his mind. If Barnes wants to make 2A arguments he should pick better candidates than cokehead Balldo.

With the charges as they are now, Balldo isn't seriously facing jail time. Fines, and some form of stayed sentence and probation are far more likely. Balldo understands this. The legal process probably troubles him less than all the negative attention he's getting from the incel-prudes.

But Balldo has a proverbial sword hanging over his head. He's an addict who does not believe he has a problem. He is subject to supervision, and will be for awhile. His crack den/household is being scrutinized by professionals. If he does not behave, there will be consequences. He will have many opportunities to misbehave before he's in the clear. I can't wait to see how he handles it.
