Watching the Dragons Treasure
reminisce about the death of Nick Rekieta.
Won't embed because I assume someone already did and this thread moves way too fast. That said, I am literally mourning right now. I knew Rekieta was circling the drain, but a part of me still hoped he could "pull up". But he just would not do it. He opened his door to the cardinal sins. Lust, Gluttony, Pride, Sloth, Greed, Wrath and Envy. Pick any one and you can easily apply them to current day Nick. Watching his decline in such a manner, and so rapidly too, makes one realize where the mythology of demonic possession comes from. If I were to see Nicks head to a full 180 like in the exorcist I would not even be surprised. The dude looks like a horror movie demonic possession already, and acts like it too.
The best comedies are tragedies, and this fundamentally sums up Nick Rekieta. If there are better angels of mercy out there, their efforts would be better served guiding Montegraphs heart. So that he can take all of Rekieta's money in this lawsuit and set a good chunk of it aside for the exclusive use of Rekieta's kids.
As for Nick Rekieta himself, the man is dead. I don't know who this ghoul is. Maybe it's who he always was deep inside. But then we all have a monster deep inside. Whatever it was keeping that monster under control is most assuredly dead. And I doubt its coming back.
