This thread is going too fast to follow, but the nature of the charges and the fact that all three were arrested at the same time makes me think that they got a visit from the local PD at his house.

Of course, it depends on Minnesota's rules regarding lawyer conduct. Each state has its own version of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct. In my state, drug crimes aren't an immediate disbarment (unless they're really bad, like participating in a major trafficking ring or some shit). Lawyers here may get a temporary suspension while given a chance to rehab themselves.

But each state governs its own.
 
Can someone ELI5 what the charges are? Possess schedule 1,2,3,4 I guess is some way to classify what kind of drugs he was in possession of, but Possess Ammo/Any Firearm - User of Controlled sounds more like video game code than a criminal charge. Is the charge possession of a loaded firearm while also in possession of controlled substances?

Possible, but not guaranteed, or likely IMO, my guess would be likely a suspension instead. The Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility publish annual discipline reports and of the 3 lawyers that were disbarred in 2023 one misappropriated client funds, one conspired to commit healthcare fraud relating to his personal injury practice and one was disbarred for "misconduct related to his representation of clients in immigration matters", the rest only got suspensions.
