You are absolutely right that this would be the best thing for Nick.

However the best thing for ME would be if he makes this a weekly feature of his show, he challenges Aaron to IBS, winner gets the girl they are fighting over. Then Ralph, Nick, Gator, Cokeski, Bryan Dunn, PPP, Coach's Ghost, Sargon's suit and Hbomberguy all show up to livestream the Battle of Jim's Driveway as he lies on his deathbed. The final two competitors, Nick and Ralph then have a drinking contest (including the picking of a single supplemental drug of choice for each) at a bowling alley nearby for KingPin 2.

I give the odds of whats best for Nick and what's best for Me happening around equivalent probability of actually occurring.

Half of that doesn't work for Nick, though, because his motivations don't line up. He is the way he is and does what he does in defiance of criticism, because he feels he has to win, and prove everyone wrong. He doesn't need the income from the streams, and even if he did he's already down to a trickle of what it was previously.
Sadly, returning to religion doesn't work for him either because he does not hold sincere beliefs, and it's extremely unlikely he'll spontaneously develop them with his mindset.

He wasn't mocking DSP, but I think he was just pulling off a vulgar faux-masturbation joke since I think, deep down, he realized how much of a shitshow the stream was, so he thought I'd be funny to just make it more of a shitshow. If he was actually jacking off he wouldn't have looked at the chat and asked "why is my camera still on".
 
Nick and Gym are terrible friends, they created all this content and didn't even give poor Jersh 24 hours to absorb it.
