Why did Patrick claim that it was stlakers who made the application for his Space Herpes presentation at Penguicon, when he was scheduled to lead a panel with an almost identical title at ConFusion? ConFusion must surely have made contact with him personally before scheduling the event. Did stlakers make both of the applications, and Pat agreed to appear at ConFusion under that title anyway?

Perhaps the first instance was legit, but an enterprising Pest has decided that "Patrick" is going to apply to every convention with it until he becomes known as the "Alien bugchaser" guy.

I like what I've seen of Correia and I read a bit of Monster Hunters and thought it was pretty good. I can understand why he wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea due to his more right wing viewpoint which does come out a bit in his work (I laughed at the main character shittalking glowies in the story). Also he does seem to be pretty blunt/direct to the point that some might see it as being rude or uncouth. I personally don't have these problems but it could irk others more.

I always pictured the side of the Half Hovel Pat rents out to be about as well kept and clean as the Gilman House Hotel in Innsmouth from the Stuart Gordon movie Dagon.
