US JET applicants have begun receiving notification of their placement by the Japanese embassy's, its d-day for Cheebs teaching aspirations (or tomorrow, bureaucracy is slow). To elaborate on the lingo, Cheebs is looking for the word 'shortlist', meaning he got in and will receive a formal offer later in may, he could also be an 'alternate' meaning he is a second choice if a person on the shortlist decides to decline the formal offer later, and last he could also just be rejected (JET describes it as 'Unsuccessful Candidates' lol), which he will also know by e-mail.

We all know exactly where this is going. Either he gets accepted (fat fucking chance) and comes to the cruel realization after working in the sticks for pennies with people that can't stand him, that Glorious Nippon isn't anything like his coombrained shojo manga expectations, losing his cushy coddled sales job in the process, or just gets rejected. The Chibi cycle continues either way. As shitty and deserving as he is, I hope it's the latter. Most cows would dream of the financial security and coddled life he has right now, the milk would be rich but his life would get real fucking sad real fucking quick if he threw away everything he's got right now only to fail in Japan.

Oh no. I want him to go to Japan and teach in some bargain basement Eikaiwa in some buttfuck inaka area where he's the only foreigner and slowly have it grind him down. Then come back a broken man, dump his fascination with Japan, anime and video games and become a productive member of society.

Actually I just want him to come back broken because it would be funnier that way.
 
I would say relinquishing his cushy job just to have the sheen taken off his isekai fantasy and return home to start from scratch professionally will be an important lesson, but he never learns.

At first glance Chibi is doing better off than most lolcows with a legit job that bring good money. If he quit the Internet and stopped being a sex pesty sperg then all his problems would solve themselves. As it's going now either he goes to Japan and fails in lolcow fashion or he stays in the US and fails in lolcow fashion.

Chibi is getting catfished again in real time. How does he not learn from any of the times that it happened in the past 15 years? Even Chris eventually learned that the 10/10 boyfriend free girl in his dms was a troll. This is the best part about the Chibi cycle, you get to see his retardation play out before he crashes and burns hard.

His refusal to learn from prior accidents is what makes Cheebs a great lolcow though. He goes around bloviating on social media about how he's learned from the past, he's a better person now, and things are going to be different but three days later he's right back to where he is at the start, then is shocked and surprised when it turns out that everything that happened in the past happened again despite all the signs it was going to. His greatest enemy is himself and his refusal to actually learn anything from experience.
